A Pink Pixie Princess - Complete!

Just popping in to say that Ink N Burn is selling their Holiday Tech extras right now! Like a dope, I misread the deadline, so I'm so excited to be able to buy the long sleeve finally! Hope you're enjoying WDW!!!
Yay, I'm so glad you got one! Mine will be waiting at home for me. :)
Your Instagrams are so awesome! I'm a serial "liker" this morning.
Have a great half tomorrow :)
Thanks for following along! :) I love posting to instagram in case that wasn't obvious...
CONGRATS!!! :cheer2::banana:
Thanks!! :yay:
Can't wait for the Wine and Dine report! Hope you enjoyed!!
I really did. The half was an emotional race for me, I think just because it meant so much to me to actually be able to do it. I'm happy with how it all went! :)

Looks great! Congratulations! Just popping in to give you a couple of updates. On the InB front, I ran the City of Oaks Marathon in my Light Speed shirt. My favorite design so far! I was able to test out the Race Dots template for the race, as well. I will say, as designed, it's stupid. Who wants to run with an extra layer of silicone under their clothes? I mean, really, what on earth were they thinking? That being said, my modifications to the template worked great! I cut the "tops" off of the holders for the backs that I wanted to use. I put the backs in the template and slipped that into the shirt laying on a flat surface where I could align things and then installed the bib and top magnets. With that all in place I was able to put the shirt on with the template preventing the shirt and magnets from folding over and sticking to themselves pretty easily. Once the shirt was on, it was simple to reach underneath and pop the template off the magnet backs leaving everything situated when the template came out. I find it to be a big improvement over freehand installation of the dots. Definitely worth a try for $9.99!

Cute picture! You are looking very "Ariel" in this pic btw. *sings* How many treasures can one runner hold???

I'm on a happilyeveraftertees mission tonight at 6pm Central. Already have an ipad with me to hand to the kiddo so I can do my thing. I'm just torn between "Best Day Ever" in red or ice blue??? I know I want a V-cut, and I think I should get a large (I'm a L in Inknburn tech tees.) So hard to decide!!! I'd get both but I want to save space in my closet for the coffee shirt they said will restock sometime this month.

Such an awesome photo!! Congrats!!!
Thanks!! :teeth:

Thanks!! Glad you're liking your INKnBURN! I saw lots of it this weekend :)

I still don't understand what they were thinking with that template! The modifications you made are pretty much what I thought it actually was and it makes way more sense to me to do it that way.

For whatever reason the RaceDots WERE NOT working for us for the 10K so we used safety pins...cringe. We just couldn't get thyme into place the way we wanted them. They worked great for the 5K and half.
Awesome! Congrats!
Thanks! :)

Yeah, there must be something in the water here because I feel like my hair is looking super red this weekend, which I am okay with! :)

AHHHHH good luck!! I have an ice blue shirt being delivered today, but I won't be home until after the sale, otherwise I'd post a "real life" pic for you. I do agree with the v-neck choice.

Definitely look at the sizing chart - all of the adult shirts are unisex cut, so I size down in those compared to the women's cut INKnBURN shirts (M in INKnBURN, small in Happily Tees). I'm trying to post pics from my phone but apparently they are too large...

That is so helpful!! I am tall and have ample assets so I generally like a little roominess in my tees, however I tend to SWIM in unisex larges. So Medium for today I say. Plus it's just good to buy one today so I can test drive the sizing before getting my coveted coffee shirt, right? Justification :)

If it's too snug, I'll just remind myself I have until Tink weekend and half training to make a little more "room" :)
Which reminds me that blue may match Tink paraphenalia better than red...but Minnie is red...but my eyes are blue...hmmmm
FYI: I like that green color on you, nice shoe matching too!

Great photo with Minnie. The best part of the character race photos is the medal photos. If you stop during the race, it's a very quick photo. In the parks offers a lot more interaction and more fun. Once Chip and Dale decided rock, paper, scissors was the best way to determine which one of them won the race.

Huzzah! Medium ice blue vneck purchased. I had to use an iPad and m&ms as a "give me a minute" bribe to the kiddo.

Obviously too late for helpful info now, but I am *ample* up top as well. Not tall though. :(

I think you can't lose with either color! The green came to me in a "mystery" pack, I knew it would be Best Day ever but not the color. I wasn't sure about it at first but I like it! :) Shoe matching was unplanned but appreciated.
Congratulations! :cheer2:
Thanks! I'm so happy with how it went. :)

Thanks! Yeah I was hoping for a pic with talking Mickey today but his line was huge and I didn't think to get a fast pass, ugh. You're right that the interaction is fun, the characters made a huge deal over the medals! :)

Huzzah! :yay: Hooray for iPads and M&Ms!!

I love that picture of you and Minnie! And I'm so happy for you and proud of you for crushing all three races last weekend! You're definitely on your way to Dopey No. 2!

Guess what came in the mail? I think I can get away with a small for the coffee shirt whenever they restock it. But I still like it. FYI:target has lots of crazy Christmas leggings (not for running, these are knit).

@roxymama woohoooo!! Looking fab! And I love those leggings, may need to make a Target run soon...

I wanted to try to get a Wishes shirt last night (I have one of the long-sleeved ones but wanted a short-sleeved v-neck)...but instead I went to yoga and of course my size was gone by the time class was over. Oh well!

Dopey Challenge Training
Week 10 (11/7) - 29 miles completed

MO: rest
TU: rest
WE: 3 miles
TH: 4 miles
FR: 7 miles
SA: yoga
SU: 15 miles

And just like that...Wine & Dine is over! Wahhhh.

But the training doesn’t end...crazy to think that Dopey is less than 2 months away! :faint: I made FP+ during the Wine & Dine trip and it was surreal that it’s almost here already! And I realized that after Sunday’s 15-miler, I only have 3 long runs longer than that distance left in training! What even.

Overall it was a really good weekend at WDW, but I felt like I never fully recovered from going to sleep late the night before the trip and the first night of the trip - combined with the weird sleeping schedule only a runDisney race weekend can produce, I was pretty wiped when this trip was over.

Add to that the fact that my flight home was delayed by 40 minutes...I didn’t get to sleep until 12:30 on Monday night. I’d planned to run on Tuesday morning, but I slept in instead before work.

I haven’t gotten to this point yet in my report, but I had some freak calf pain pop up during the Wine & Dine half, so I didn’t think that the extra off day was the worst idea in the world. I was nervous to start running again, but was relieved to find that the calf didn’t bother me at all this week! :thumbsup2 I upped my running intervals to 3:15 - even threw in some 3:30s here and there for my shorter runs - and that seemed to go okay. I stuck to 3/1 intervals for the two longer runs, but I’ll likely try to move up to 3:30 for at least my 8-miler next week.

Yoga was really good on Saturday...it’s been a stressful week to say the least, so it was good to have this time to myself to just sort of relax.

My 7-miler on Friday was great and I was feeling festive and like a dork (which...probably describes how I feel 99% of the time in life):

Overall my 15-miler on Sunday was good, but it got REALLY tough toward the end.
Once I got to mile 10 it was a struggle to keep myself going. I changed some of my intervals to 1/1 (hence why I don’t think I’ll be moving up to 3:30 running intervals for next week’s long run...even considering dropping down to 2:30/1 or 2/1) to make it through, but overall I can’t complain - my back felt pretty decent (actually - not to jinx it - but it’s been feeling REALLY good lately ) and I had no IT Band or calf pain...and I finished the run...so overall I’m calling this one a win! :yay: I was pretty well spent by the end, but recovered quickly...so maybe I need to adjust something with my fueling/nutrition? I may try to bring some Gatorade with me for next week’s long run and see if that helps.

Pre-run smiles...if a post-run picture existed, I'm pretty sure it would look like this: :faint: At least I would have a cool outfit on!

I feel like I’m getting into the stretch of training where it’s gonna get increasingly tough to keep myself motivated and to keep getting in all of these miles...but this is what I signed up for, and I know it’ll be worth it. And I just have 5 more hard weeks left until the glorious taper begins. I need to keep reminding myself of that...

"It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard...is what makes it great." (Favorite quote ever, thank you Tom Hanks/"A League of Their Own"!)

Still jealous of those knit tights. I love my blue capris, but I still really want those tights. Hopefully one day the ISO list will make my dream come true. :D

Your training sounds like it's going great and I'm so happy that your back is feeling good. Sorry that you had some calf pain during W&D, but seems like that's resolved as well, so YAY!!!
