I thought it would be fun to make a thread of the little notes and poems that you include with your tinkerbell gifts. This way we could share our ideas and make these little gifts extra special.

This is the first day poem that I am leaving for DS (the trip is a surprise)


SURPRISE!!!

We know that you didn’t have a clue…..
Only Mommy and Daddy knew!

You’re off to catch a plane
To see mickey mouse again!

It is because you are such a good boy
Having you for a son is truly a joy!

No school for a week and don’t you worry,
Mrs. Summers said not to hurry.

We have many surprises up our sleeve,
After 7 nights you won’t want to leave.

But when we go home you will always remember,
Our surprise trip at the end of September!

So lets begin this special treat
By staying tonight at the Nickelodeon Suites!


I am leaving this out with his first "gift" - a bag of goodies for the plane ride!

Anyone else have ideas to share?

Not the poetic type, I made a post on a local mommas board asking some other moms to write letters to my kids as various sundry disney characters. I offered to send the moms postage and stationary only they all wanted to do their own thing.

our trip is in just over 3 weeks we have recieved 1 letter from Buzz Lightyear. My 3 year old son was over the moon when he recieved it. Its kinda fun for me too as I have no idea what to expect!

We don't do poem's but letters. We talk about what we are doing that day and things I need to put in her head. I use different fonts and decorate them.

I am so glad you came to Disney. You should come
see me in Epcot today. I can usually be found in the
library in France. Sometimes the Beast is with me.
I know that he is big but he is really nice. Don’t
let him scare you. I would love to get a picture of
all of us. I know that you also love my friend Jasmine.
She is here too but she is in Morocco with Aladdin. Go
see them too. I know that Jasmine would love to see you.
Enjoy your day and be a good girl.

Come see me at the park. Hey, let’s have breakfast on Wednesday. I will
be at Chef’s Mickey’s this week. I think Minnie will join us too but I will
have to check with her.

Don’t forget to put your sun tan lotion on. Also, you need to listen to your Mommy,
Daddy and Bah all the time. Don’t forget you have a stroller to sit in if you get tired.
Sometimes Mommy, Daddy and Bah want you to sit in the stroller so you can get where
you are going quicker, listen to them. I know there are a lot of stores here at Disney.
If you are a good girl, listen to your Mommy, Daddy and Bah and don’t beg for lots of stuff, my friends leave stuff in your room for you.

here is our day #2 poem:

Today is the day that we embark
On our magical trip at the MGM park.

We’ll see the muppets and a little mermaid too.
Beauty and the beast will dazzle you!

Karis will love the playhouse Disney show
And we will see characters that we know.

Buzz, Woody and the toy story crew,
Chicken Little may be there too!

We’ll eat at Hollywood and Vine,
And have such a great time!

The fantasmic show will end our day,
As Mickey takes our breath away!
