Tiana’s Bayou AP Preview?

Are we sure? It's possible we got a FP on opening day but I didn't think it was. I know for certain we rode either early or on opening day. We even had a malfunction on our ride and got to ride again due to this. It's why I recall our first ride so much. Same thing happened on our first ride on Guardians too, stopped, turned on lights, escorted off, and rerode when it started. Guardians was 100% on our AP preview day and when it happened I recall thinking, the same thing happened for our Runaway railway first ride. Though as my age I could misremember the Runaway details at this point.

Someone else mentioned (can't remember if it was this thread or another) that typically in the past Disney hasn't offered previews for re-skins to annual pass holders or dvc members. I can't remember, but did Runaway Railway have AP previews? Frozen did not.

I'm gonna hold out hope for AP previews, heck they even previewed a walking path with water features. I feel like post-Covid is a different world for these things.

If they are held post media preview, we're still a ways out from an announcement if they stick with a 2-4 weeks before preview announcement timeline.

I’m going to guess a Preview will be mandatory for Tianas Bayou ( Splash ) because of the extra safety requirements for loading unloading , etc…
Any news about the restaurant opening soon ?
The re-design looks very nice in that area ; Including the new Train Station Entrance nearby !

Sorry to be a downer but Runaway Railway’s debut was pre-Covid. If they are going to have AP previews and debut in summer they really need to announce it soon.

They'd have 1,000 bloggers camped out in front of the ride all day for the next week hoping for a preview... wait. this could work business wise. Every day the Mouse could sell them water, snacks, I Camped At Tiana's Bayou commemorative pins...

I haven’t found indication there was one on these boards or wdwmagic forums or any blog posts acknowledging one happening.

Hmmm... need to look back on my travel history to see if I was in Orlando on March 4 that year, or before. That would be a perfect indication on what happened. No idea if I have any of that info from 4 years ago

Yeah I don’t know why I thought it looked like a restaurant was Opening at WDW … but the retheming kinda looked like it the other day when I walked in the area.
They reimagined the entrance to the train station and updated the attraction on the outside with doors and steps that looked like an entrance.
Is it just going to be a gift shop exit?

Have been rumours but nothing official announced that I am aware of.
