Sounds like how things go in my family with my brothers!

As it stands I have a breakfast ADR at Cape May Cafe.
This is still on my bucket list! :thumbsup2

What would you do with this extra play time?
Well, if you think you will have gotten your fill of the WDW parks by this point, why not make it a Universal Day? Sure, it would cost more, but if it's something you'd like to go see, then do it! ::yes::

In non-Disney news I bought a new car! Picked it up today and I am very excited! I love everything about it. I got a Honda CR-V.
OMG! I am a peanut butter & jealous sandwich!

All caught up Lessa!! Can't wait to see more antics from the Brothers Grimm !!:rotfl2:In june when I went on another Free trip , we saw at DHS the Frozen Sing a long . It was GREAT, get a FP+ for that or you wont get in !! Now at New Fantasyland , make a point of seeing Belle , it is adorable and I can just see the Bros. being picked as the Knights !!:rotfl2::rotfl2: Also I love the Little Mermaid ride in New Fantasyland :thumbsup2 Sci Fi is a favorite of mine , the oreo cookie milkshake and the out of this world turtle cheesecake are to die for !!!:thumbsup2:goodvibes. Your plans sound great. People and Places have added a Christmas trip and I think it is the time you are there Hmmmmmm!!! I too have stopped the park hopping on a regular basis , it takes too much of your day.

Hi Rosie! As for the Bros Grimm being in the Belle show, we will see... I have attached a few pictures of Erich when he played the salt and then again when he was one of the knights, these were taken when he was a CM a few years back44565_285805804871712_619636122_n.jpg 305905_296020707183555_569934810_n.jpg

The Oreo Cookie milkshake looks super yummy!!, I have been checking out all the menus' now that all the ADR's have been made. I'm hungry!!

I am super excited to be going back to the World only 5 months and 1 day to see and experience all the changes! Thank you for your advise and suggestions!

Remember they have 2 knights and they would be the perfect pair !!! We also like going in the Big Tent for the characters , Donald and Goofy are usually not a long wait , but Daisy and Minnie can be !!!! There is also 2 Dumbo rides now !!!!! I am mulling the idea of asking if I can be an escort in December , I don't think Carol can do it though!!:confused3

I'm not a Universal fan, so I'd pick mini golf at Disney.

Great new car...congratulations.

I am still torn about this decision! I will have to consult Alek and Erich on the weekend.

I would probably love the Frozen Sing-a-long but not sure about my brothers.

Bros. being picked as the Knights !!

That would be really fun!

Sci Fi is a favorite of mine , the oreo cookie milkshake

I had that milkshake when I was there in the past, super yummy!

have added a Christmas trip and I think it is the time you are there

Would be fun to see you again!

Would definitely be the more economical option!

Trip of Disney Christmas Past

Only 5 months to go until the trip! Which means only 4 months until I really start getting into the Christmas spirit! I LOVE Christmas.

My main focus of this upcoming trip will be to do as much Christmasy stuff as possible. I love WDW and WDW at Christmas will be even better as it will be a combination of two of my favourite things!

Now this is not technically our first Christmas trip to WDW. Our very first WDW trip was over Christmas back in 1997. We drove down from Virginia Beach with stops in Charleston, Savannah and Cape Canaveral. I believe we then spent three days in WDW over Christmas before going on to visit Miami, Key West and Naples.

Unfortunately, the boys and I don't remember too much from the trip, just bits and pieces. I do remember loving it!

I do remember that it was warm but rainy/drizzly the whole time we were there. WDW was a sea of yellow Mickey ponchos that Christmas as can be seen in several of our photos. Unfortunately, I was going through a phase where I hated having my picture taken so there are absolutely no photos of me on my first WDW trip. :sad2:

I go through our photos from time to time and thought I would share them with you. I have a feeling that Christmas at WDW has changed a lot since we were there 18 years ago!

At Epcot this character bus came around and offered character meets. I don't remember this too well but it appears from the pictures that this was back in the time before organized meets and character handlers and random kids appear to have just wandered into our character photos.

Erich and the White Rabbit

Alek and Erich with King Louie

Here's an example of what I was referring to regarding random kids in our character photos. Erich is clearly meeting Chip as Chip has his arm around him and it looks like some kid just wandered up and photo bombed.

We have a couple other photos like that. I am definitely glad that character meets are a little bit more organized nowadays.

Mom and Pooh. I prefer Pooh's modern costume to this one.

I know that all they did to make the characters Christmasy was throw on a scarf and hat but I find it charming and I hope to get a few pictures with characters in their Christmas attire this year.

I'm also very much looking forward to the Christmas parade which I expect is probably very different as well compared to the 97 version.

I am hoping these creepy clowns are long gone.

I hope you enjoyed my trip down memory lane. I can't wait until December arrives and we get to do WDW at Christmas again!

I remember that Character Bus...and I remember my youngest getting pushed out of the way of a character that HE wanted to see at that exact moment. I was one HOT momma and was so delighted when they changed the way you see the characters!

Cute flashback pictures to that earlier trip.

Yes, I am very glad character greets run the way they do now. Gives everybody an equal opportunity without having to worry about getting shoved around or getting your photo ruined.

1997 was our first trip to WDW. Just Linnie & I before the kids were born. It was in October during the 3rd annual Food & Wine festival. Trey was born 2 years later. :)

Love the new rig!

That's a tough call on the day you go home. At least it won't be hot! We would probably sleep in a little, goof around, pack, whatever. Check out at the final minute. Then go do lunch and probably the mini golf. Generally, we're out on an 8:45am flight to Denver on our leave day.

Candlelight Processional details have finally been released! I was a little sad to see that we will be missing Whoppi by one day. Our narrator will be Joe Morton. I am not familiar with him but I have been told that he is a good narrator and is known for being on the tv show Scandal. I booked our "dinner" package for lunch at Via Napoli. It is actually not that crazy of a price. $41 for app, entree, dessert and beverage. Looking at the posted menu prices I think we will break even.

I also purchased our MVMCP tickets the other day so all we have left to purchase are our park tickets.

I'm sorry you are missing Whoopi; we had her in 2013 and she was great. I had to look up Joe Morton when someone mentioned him the other day. He looked familiar but not sure what I've seen him in (I don't watch Scandal). I ate at Via Napoli in May for the first time and LOVED it.

Loved the Memory Lane pix !!We did not have seats for the Candlelight Procession but lucked out and were standing in the perfect spot to see them parade in. We also could see Whoopi and this was 2013 also !!

Thanks for reading my TR's , I am not keeping up very well, but will keep plugging away!!!

The cost of the CPP lunch is $41 so I figure that even though I'm not excited for the narrator the cost is no more than if we were to order an app. entree and dessert even without the package. So the guaranteed seating is a nice bonus to add on to a good meal.

That's great that you were able to see Whoppi even though you didn't have seats.

I have no concrete plans for the first part of the day although I did make a reservation for breakfast/brunch at Chef Mickey's for 11am. I have a question and hope somebody else knows or has done this before at a similar meal such as Crystal Palace. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's runs until 11:30 and brunch starts immediately after that. Since our ADR is at 11, technically breakfast, I assume we will be charged the breakfast rate rather than the brunch rate even though we will still be there and eating when it switches to brunch at 11:30?
I didn't notice anyone answering this for you, so I will tell you what I can. I have never done this, but somewhere a few years back making trip plans it seems like I saw it mentioned that if you made a very late breakfast reservation like this, then when they transitioned over to lunch food you would be able to take advantage of that too, since you are already there. No mention of a change in price. Like I said, I have never done this and that was a few years ago, so maybe it will still work out for you that way! pixiedust:

Based on advise I have read we will probably view the second parade as it is supposedly less crowded. I can't wait to see it!
Second showing is almost always less crowded.........and usually my preferred choice.

The big attraction for today and the number one must do are the Osbourne Lights. Something new for all of us but Erich.
I can spend hours doing nothing but the Osbourne Lights! So much to see and hear and explore and find........... like the "hidden" cat. I have heard that now they move it around so people won't hear where it is ahead of time and spoil the surprise.

Last time we were there (Oct '14) there was no more rope drop :( Wrist ban scan then go!
Still no rope drop at DHS. Stand in line at the turnstiles, then head straight where you're going.

Mom thinks I should name it Elsa because of the colour...
That Mom of yours..........one sharp lady! :thumbsup2

Agree with Rosie on the Frozen Sing-a-long.......definitely get the FP+ and worth it. And the Brother's Grimm as the "Suits of Armor".......yes, that would be special! Of course, Rosie was spoiled first time she saw this show with a very special person as one of the Suits of Armor........... :goodvibes

Can't go wrong regardless with the Candlelight Processional..........and Via Napoli is a great choice! So very, very good! And :jumping1: on getting your MVMCP tickets. I haven't ever been to that one but it looks like a lot of fun!

And since I joined in late, I have done some skimming I have to admit, but one thing NOT to miss in Epcot World Showcase...........the StoryTellers that explain the Christmas traditions in each of the countries. At the very least, make sure you stop for the one in Norway. I'm sure the Bros. Grimm will probably be drawn into that one..........:rotfl:
