Day 6 December 14, 2000
We decide to get up early today and get to Animal Kingdom before it opens. The alarm goes off at 6:30am and Sean takes a shower first. We are all ready and Brenden is still asleep!! It is now 7:15am and I wake him up and get him dressed and ready to go. We decide to drive today because the park is so close and I want to do the safari before our breakfast at 9AM. We get to the park at 8 and head directly to the safari. There is already a 10 minute wait and I know that we are already cutting it close. We see tons of animals this morning and the busses were slowed down by giraffes in the road! We get off the bus at 8:45AM and book it over to Dinoland for our reservations.
This park is not easy to navigate through and we don't get to the breakfastasaures until 9am. We are seating right away and before long Pluto is at our table. Brenden has a slight meltdown and Sean takes him for a walk to the bathroom. I don't know what he says to him, but he is perfectly behaved after that!!
We get some food and Mickey comes over. He spends a few minutes interacting with Brenden and signs his book again. Mickey really makes a big deal over Brenden's Mickey safari outfit that he is wearing.
Our waitress tells us that Goofy and Donald will be over in about 15 minutes, so we get Brenden to eat some food. Soon enough Goofy comes though and then Donald Duck. My mom really loves Donald and he spend quite a bit of time at our table. He dances with Brenden and hugs him a really long time. It was very cute.
After the breakfast we head over to Tarzan Rocks and then to the Lion King show. We then wait in line for Mickey and Minnie again. These turn out to be our best pictures yet!
We leave Animal Kingdom and head over to Epcot again after a little snooze. We start at Mexico this time and I am starving and cranky. Mom wants to listen to the mariachis, so we do that for about 15 minutes and then I insist that we get something to eat. I don't care what, I am just hungry. Sean decides that he wants chinese and that is where we end up. I order the beef and stingbeans and it is delicious, Sean and Brenden have sweet and sour chicken and this is the most that Brenden has eaten all week! My mom had fried rice and she said that it was good.
After dinner we head towards France because I really like that movie. We stop in America for a few minutes to listen to the Candlelight Processional and the music is beautiful. After the France movie we take the boat back across and ride in "The Big Golf Ball". Brenden is amazed that we can go inside of it!
We are all beat by then and head back to the room and are asleep in no time.
Tomorrow is back to the Magic Kingdom and then the Marketplace for shopping.
