Those are great pics! Thanks for sharing. Kira's silky hair reminds me of my Phoebe's. The ones in the sun look like the same auburn brown too. They are both very cute. Did they have fun at the black tie event or were they bored? I'd be worried if my family was invited.
Thanks! They had a blast at the event! We met another family, with a 5 y.o., 12 y.o. and a 14 y.o. The 14 y.o. girl was the Starlight Child, she has a brain tumor, had undergone 52 surgeries, and they can't remove it cuz it will erase all her memory. But they were really nice. During the cocktail hour, one of the appetizers was little paper cone cups filled with french fries. And one of her favorite Child Life Specialists from our hospital we go to was there to give a speech, so we got to hang with her.
At dinner, we got to meet the guest of honor, Charles "Peanut" Tillman, he's a Chicago Bears player. He was super nice, sat and talked to Kira for about 20 minutes, just amazing!!
And then, for dinner, they did a perfect "kids" meal. Instead of trying to make an adult meal "kid-friendly," they gave them chicken fingers, french fries, and a fruit cup. It was perfect!
After dinner was dancing. Kira was thrilled cuz she wanted to dance with the 12 y.o. boy from the other family. She spent about 20-30 minutes on her speaking valve (off her vent) dancing with him! And Christian danced with the older sister!
And my son is a total charmer! He calls these his "hot, sexy, ladies!" LOL!
There were a bunch of younger women who thought he was just adorable! Of course, a 6 y.o., in a tux, dancing away, who wouldn't think that was cute!
They had an awesome time! And Kira declared it the most romantic night ever!
She talked about all these feelings she had, it was very cute. We were there from about 6:30 until almost 11:00! It was a fabulous time!!
