The verdict - surgery is not needed. The doctor is referring him to a pain specialist for nerve blockers and then for physical therapy. He has been cleared to go to Universal in January. She told him to use his best judgment on rides.

Waiting for B to get home from work so we can figure out what to do for dinner. Dh has theater rehearsal tonight.

Walked out of the house, and went crap. Hope I still have that ice scraper in my car. Yep, and ugh, ice scraper I was. Then kept the defroster on most of the commute. Was 33 degrees.

No ice for us yet, but I am sure it is coming soon. We are supposed to have highs in the low 40's for our last home football game at the end of the month.

Time for a reboot, as every time I said close the program it gave me that beautiful swirling blue circle. And it’s still restarting. Eh, probably the download of updates was going on in the background and crashed my mail. Glad it’s not my laptop,

It seems you have been having issues with that laptop for a long time. I know you won't be sad to give it up.

I just tried to renew my AP online and got an error message. I don't know why I have so much trouble with Universal ordering online. Looks like I'm calling them again tomorrow.

We decided on pizza for dinner. B can pick it up on her way home from work since she has to drive by the place anyway. I just don't feel like going out again.

That’s actually good news, Charade, that no surgery needed. I hope the therapy and pain killers will help with the pain issues he’s had. Glad also to hear he can go to the parks without medical restrictions.

Yeah, we never get nice work laptops, Charade, so issues with connectivity happen every so often, so I think it was trying to download updates, as when I rebooted, it said updates failed. Just had it say updates downloading now as I booted up for the day.

Ugh, as I got out the entrance yesterday late afternoon, my car’s low tire pressure flashed on. I was like, hmm, I don’t feel like a have a flat. When I got home, I asked the kids to look at my tires. They thought the one front looked a little low. They took it to put air in each tire, as my car is too old to say which one gave that low warning. They said all four were at the right psi. When I turned it on this morning, it still gave me that warning. I told the kids, if I get out of the office this afternoon, and I have a flat tire, I’m going to be annoyed. Hoping it was just the change in coldness the night before, and not a nail or other. Going to call my auto shop I use, and see if they can look at all my tires to see why that warning went off. In most cars, you can turn that warning off. My car, nope, mechanic had to do it. Worth it to me to have that shop take a look to ensure there is nothing poking into one of my tires.

But a pep in my step, as it’s the last Friday of week day routine. I’m trying to clear out each day. Office is looking bare with all the pictures down, and most of my little fun things are packed up. Also tossed a lot of papers I don’t need, nor not ones that have to be saved. The rest, gave to my colleagues. Getting real.

Brought in two kinds of salad, as it’s that holiday pot luck turkey luncheon in my office. My head boss, always brings in a huge turkey. The rest of us bring in the sides, drinks, and desserts. Most of the time, it’s way too much food. But with 2 large refrigerators in our break room, any leftover will be packed up, and saved for Monday, or up for grabs to take home.

Still dark out, so no sunrise to show you yet. Sunrise is a half hour from now. Yep, shorter days until that winter equinox, where our shortest day will be. Then, minutes longer every day after. I feel like this year has flown by. To say next week is our Thanksgiving Day, is almost crazy. But lots to took forward to, as my favorite time of year to enjoy the decor and pine, cookies and peppermint smells that come with this wintertime’s holidays.

So a good morning from this predawn homie, and hope all have that Fabulous Friday feeling today.

Good Friday morning everyone











Friday morning here cool and rainy. I will take that over snow any day.

I have been busy with little projects around the house.

Christmas shopping is about three quarters the way done.

I have been letting my fingers do the shopping online mostly.

I pick up little J from school today. So looking forward to spending time with my little buddy. He is a joy to be around.

Sending lots of prayers and good thoughts to those that are ailing in the Sans family.

Mac, Janet and Carole I hope you all are well. You are missed.

Happy Saturday. I have decided to have a mostly lazy weekend. I spent most of yesterday watching TV and cross stitching. At some point this weekend I need to buy apples for the pie I will be making on Thursday. Can't believe November is almost over.

I finally got my AP renewed. I had to call Universal, and then their new payment system wouldn't work. We finally had to go back to the old way of me verbally telling the TM my card information. Technology and I are not getting along well this week. At work I keep getting error messages on the computer and have been having difficulty getting our scheduling/billing program to run. I told my boss that our hard drive is full, but so far she hasn't done anything to rectify the problem.

Got a call from one of my aunts yesterday evening and she told me that another aunt had passed yesterday morning. I am not close at all with any of my extended family, so I didn't even know that she was sick. She was only 76. The family must have already had plans made because there was already an obituary on the funeral home website and the service is scheduled for Monday.

It's 8:30 and so far Caspian and I are the only ones awake. I don't know if I should eat breakfast or wait for dh to wake up and see if he wants to go somewhere.

Sorry to hear of your aunt’s passing, Charade. Sympathy to her family.

Lazy day for us, after hearing a good rain around 6 am this morning. Little one and I went to see the wicked movie. Both of us liked the stage show of Wicked much more than the movie. Little one remarked the huge fake eyelashes on the good witch. Yeah, and we both thought not showing Dorothy was odd. Then, after making soup and sandwiches for a late lunch, made no one hungry for dinner. Think will be hungry in the morning.

Sunday means visit to sister and trash cans to the curb. Then took off on Monday, as hoping little one will want breakfast out. Usually, there are savings on week day breakfast meals.

Hope all are having a nice weekend. The one before the holiday Thursday. Starting to be the busiest time of the year.

Good Monday morning. I have some time to kill before work. I was awake way too early this morning. I woke up to the sound of Caspian vomiting. What a way to start the week.

I am dreading going to work today. I suspect that my boss has done nothing to fix our computer issues. I won't be able to do my job if I can't get the software to load.

B and dh want to see Wicked. I just don't know when we will find the time. I enjoyed it when I saw it on the stage, but part of me still hates the concept of turning the villain into a misunderstood, sympathetic character.

Still have time to kill. So glad this is a short week.

Lazy day, with breakfast out at favorite Jewish deli. Then errand running. And beautiful sunshine and a little cool day.

Taco Tuesday is upon us, and rain to be starting around when I commute home.

But hey, they did wash my office windows, so no poop on them yet. More overcast day, usually means the birds don’t rest on the overhang. But only have this office for another day. Then hello retirement days. Almost bare my office. Can’t believe it sometimes. But looking forward to lazy enough days.

So if a day to enjoy a taco meal, it’s today. Like a Taco Bell run or other.

Though most importantly, hope all have a Terrific Tuesday. And hope it means a 59 minute earlier day tomorrow, my last day before official day of retirement is Friday.

It was a Chick-fil-A Tuesday for us. I thought I was hungrier than I was. I ordered 4 piece chicken strips meal. They gave me 5 and I only ate 3. The other 2 are now in my refrigerator.

The verdict at work is - we need a new computer. Boss ordered a new one and should have it set up sometime this weekend. Her son is in IT and will be setting it up for her.

I am working half a day tomorrow and then will be off until Monday. Lynne, I hope you are getting a farewell party on Friday.

Ah, already at that mid week point before that Black Friday feeling arrives this week.

And who do I see?



Yep, as my off day is this Friday, I’m off the books on the day that I have off. Woot! And so, goodbye office and now clean windows from washing and the rain. Probably not many times I will be up before the crack of dawn.

Sunrise is still almost a half hour away. And I’ve been here for almost 2 hours already.

But that camel giving me a woot woot for this hump of a day feeling day we call Wednesday. And one more sleep after today, and that start of Christmas shopping and sales is a day away, the one we call Black Friday. Yeah, the day after that food coma Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. Hehe.

So thankful for being able to say I’m retired this Friday. And that holiday fun is now a day closer. And since flights are the same as our last ones, no need to get up that early for our flight down. Though I am not a good sleeper the night before we travel. So even without the alarm that was turned off this morning, I can be awake early any way almost every day, even when on my fun trips. Though with 2 late nights including the day we arrive, I can sleep later in the morning sometimes. Though the resorts are pretty, and mostly quiet, in that very early time, or very very late time.

Hehe, didn’t take long before I received the notice of 59 minutes earlier day today. Woot! Hour earlier home, means I hope I beat that school buses and zones I go through.

Wonderful Wednesday to you all. And a Very Happy Thanksgiving Day to those enjoying that tradition of a turkey dinner.

Ah yes, it’s nice I get my kids to deliver our share of the dinner tomorrow, today. Hope those gobblers are defrosted now, Keisha. Love an infinite long weekend for me. lol

Happy day before Thanksgiving. We are doing are usual meal at our friends house. I am making a squash casserole and apple pie.

We've already had a bummer start to our holiday. Our next door neighbors, who we really like, told us today that they are moving to a town about 30 minutes away. They are going to be renting out their current house. I just hope we get good neighbors.

Ah, gorgeous sunshine, mostly blue skies and wind making it feel like it’s 28 degrees. 37 says my outdoor thermometer. Eh, not the coldest nor sunniest of this holiday either. So, I’ll take it. Cool and sunny. Rocking those sunglasses as little one to help me with the rest of what I have to get out of my office. Then. I leave the keys, and my ids. Then it’s a wrap. Woot!

Awake way too early today. Dh has a cold and didn't sleep well, so I didn't sleep well either. We are supposed to attend the final home football game of the season today, but he isn't feeling up to it. I'm sure the rest of the people attending will appreciate him not sharing his cold. I could go by myself, but since it will be in the low 40's when the game starts, and close to freezing when it ends, I'd rather watch from home.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. We had way too much food as usual. There were only 6 of us at dinner, but we had enough food for at least 15. Our friends that host tend to go way overboard with the sides and desserts. She has mentioned that this might be the last time they host the holiday meals. She said that her husband, who does most of the cooking, has been getting really stressed about it. This year they even cut the guest list way back. In the past I have suggested that they have the guests supply the sides and desserts, but he always insists on doing most of it himself. I told her that we would be fine just meeting at a restaurant. We are not picky. Dh suggested that we host, but I reminded him that neither of us have ever cooked a holiday meal before, and I am not very confident of my cooking abilities.

I did no traditional black Friday shopping yesterday. My only purchases were 2 T-shirts that I bought online. Later today I need to stop at the grocery store. While I am out I will pock up a couple of Christmas ornaments for stocking stuffers.

I'm going to try to get some more sleep.

Yay now that lady of leisure, thanks for the happy wishes Mac and Charade.

Was up at my usual predawn time, but being a Saturday, didn’t get moving until little one asked if I was ready to do an online order pick up, around 10 this morning. I was game. We went to the store, looked around, but saw nothing else to buy. Had ordered fleece jacket for me, and little one already took the tags off and wore it. To be fair, I’ve been wearing her sweatshirt jacket lately. Was a nice day, full of sunshine, but tomorrow, rain chances and chance of seeing some snow, before it gets washed away with cold feeling rain on Tuesday. But Tuesday’s snow and rain is a clipper low front, so that Tuesday washout is only that day, and with a wall to wall full day of sunshine predicted for Wednesday, that should dry up anything left after the last of the rain. Then next chance of rain is next weekend. Cold rain those days with highs not even 40 degrees.

But yay, and the first week is next week that I don’t have that week day routine. Did tell little one, Monday is our out to breakfast day. So thinking we may make that our routine. But also with next month starting Monday, our holiday park fun is getting that much closer.

Hope Charade’s DH is feeling better soon. Sending mummy dust well wishes down to him.

Ah, oldest brother and wife are here for the weekend too, so going to family meeting up with another me not having to cook dinner tomorrow, as will be at my sister’s. I will bring food though, as sister again making the main entree. Round three. Yay!
