I am in the process of clearing out my late aunt's house. She has some old fashioned but great looking wooden furniture. After discussing what the family wanted to do with the furniture they all agreed that they wanted nothing of it and if I wanted it they are ok with it (it's not valuable antique or anything). Part of the furniture includes 2 fireside chairs and a matching sofa and a rocking chair. While the covering is naff the furniture is whole (well one chair needs one spring replacing) rather than dump it I am planning on getting it reupholstered has anyone had this done and how was it after? The chairs are really comfortable even if they look bad but with a bit of love, they are going to look great.
