Pick a pearl in EPCOT

In all the many many years I have gone to EPCOT I have never picked a pearl! I will this time. But, I heard there is a carriage charm that I can buy to put the pearl in... Does anyone have any information on this???? Thanks!

Don't know anything about a carriage... I put mine in a dolphin charm attached to a silver chain. They have many charms you can put your pearl into. A tip: they say that the ugliest oysters have the best pearls.

DH told me I'm picking a pearl on our upcoming trip, so I just bought the carriage too! How much is it to pick a pearl? I think it's $17, but all I remember is that I didn't do it cause after the setting I liked it would have been about $65...

How do you get the pearl in the carriage? I have a pearl from Hawaii that I'd love to put in there! TIA!

The carriage opens up and then when you close it, it won't reopen because of the chain. I did this on my birthday; click here for my step by step experience, including photos. Just one word of warning...the carriage is small so your pearl won't fit if you get a really big one. Mine was literally the largest that would fit in the carriage.

I bought two carriages last summer for DD and I from www.pearlwishes.com

It was an extra treat that DD picked an oyster with beautiful "twins", so we each have one.
My oyster had a very pretty single that I'm saving to use for something else down the line.

Thanks for this post. This is our third year going to disney and we have done this and my wife and 2 daughters both have 2 pendants each from each trip. They are great but like someone said before it is getting kinda expensive since we are buying the pearls and the settings for them there. I just went on ebay and bought the last three the guy had for sale so now we have something they all can put their pearls in and dad can stop worring about how he is gonna come up with an extra 80 bucks for the settings for them

Here's a more detailed view of the carriage and how the pearl goes in.

The carriage opens and you just pop the pearl in:

When it closes there are 2 loops on one side and 1 loop on the other. Nest the single loop in between the 2. Mine can go on either side of the 2 loops but it locks when placed in the center of the 2.

The chain goes through the 3 loops, note there is a little gap around the middle of the carriage. Both of mine are like that (both 7 1/4mm pearls) so I assume it's normal.
