Nothing for granted

I work for TSA and occasionally answer questions on a few of these boards. I ran across this news article on Yahoo today.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Airport security workers found a loaded handgun stuffed inside a brown teddy bear that a 10-year-old boy was carrying on a trip home after his family's Florida vacation, authorities said Thursday.

We are constantly being tested to see if there are any holes. Yet another good example as to why we don't take anything for granted. Bears, shoes, canes whatever. Anything "normal"can be made dangerous.
Apparently this bear was a present from another child in the same hotel.

I heard about that and thought it was weird. Wouldn't the parents have known that teddy felt a little heavier than teddies usually do?

Better yet, *WHY* would you accept a gift from a stranger?
