New Game: Disney Universe for Wii Playstation & XBox

Have you guys seen the new Disney game Disney Universe? It comes out October 31st. I have no faith at all in Disney games, but the trailers look pretty darn cool.

I thought it was kind of cute until I read some of the comments (24 likes and 60 dislikes seemed odd). Most claimed it was a ripoff of a game called LBP (LittleBigPlanet). And I have to say, at least from the promo videos for both, I agree.

And it's funny, but with all the violence in video games out there, I was really bothered by the suggestion that the big bronze character was going to punch the little one... Crazy, I know.

Okay, I checked out Little Big Planet and it does seem pretty similiar, but I know I'm still going to be buying Disney Universe Wii version for Christmas at least for my nephew and probably my niece too. They will love the Disney characters and Disney "worlds" in it.

Not a fan of LBP unfortunately, and this does look a lot like the same thing.

I think I'm one of the few people that don't think it looks like LBP. I mean sure, they have big heads and little bodies and run around and stuff..

LBP is a world where the little sackboys are like...miniatures in a regular sized world. This game looks like everything is sized to scale.

Also, LBP is mostly side scrolling, but this game is more 3D.

Either way, I've been waiting for a new Wii game so I'll probably get this. The characters looks adorable!

Just thought I'd bump this thread up being that the game is to be released soon. It looks super cool! I've been following the progress via FB and am very excited!

I'll probably get it. I liked LBP, so if this is similar then I'll like it MORE because it's Disney. If it's not like LBP, I'll like it because it's Disney. Either way, I think it's a win.

My niece just called me yesterday to ask if I was going to make her wait for Christmas for this game...she knows I'm going to get it for her... I'm excited about it because it looks so cool, but I want to wait and read some reviews before I run out and get it. If it's all good, I might not make her wait because I really want to play it too!
