Banoffee pie from Jolly Holiday. This was so good, I could have eaten twelve of them.
Dole Whip!
Proton punch from Pym's.
Quantam Pretzel from Pym's. You can also see part of the Pym-ini sandwich.
PB&J flavor lab and Subatomic chicken sandwich. The PB&J was very good, but the chicken sandwich was disappointing. The chicken was super thin and dry. I didn't finish it.

I've been wanting to try the Banoffee Pie, glad to hear you liked it! I usually get the macaron at Jolly Holiday so I'll have to pry myself away from it.

That chicken looks like a piece of sandpaper.

From Pooh Corner:

Mickey cookie- Very tasty with a nice soft texture.I think it had a berry flavor? Not sure because it was very subtle.

Churro toffee.- I forgot to take a picture of the toffee before I broke a piece off. It was SO good! I can't eat regular chocolate so it's always fun to find a white chocolate treat.

Carthay Circle Lounge

No reservations. Walked up, and they sat us right away. This is the second time that I've been sat at the bar in a Disney restaurant. The other time was at Lamplight Lounge. I really don't care for it. The bartender is supposed to serve as your wait staff, but they are too busy making drinks to pay attention to guests that are dining.

Moroccan Roasted Chicken Meatballs - Flavors didn't work well together. Just okay. Very small.

Vietnamese Twice-cooked Beef Lettuce Wraps - This was quite good. Very flavorful. It doesn't look like it, but it was a nice sized serving. There was enough meat for at least five packed lettuce wraps.

What was the sauce like on the meatballs? Something yogurty?

We have reservations for dinner at Carthay Circle Lounge in a few days! This will be our first time. What do you recommend trying for 2 people? I'm thinking about the following (I like to order a few small plates and share):

-Vietnamese Twice-cooked Beef Lettuce Wraps
-Bao Buns of Soy-Ginger Braised Pork Belly- Are these good?
-MAYBE: Spring Roll with Spicy Crab (I don't like spicy food and my husband doesn't eat seafood but it's still interesting)
-How is the filet mignon beef skewers? It might be too beef-y if we get that plus the beef lettuce wraps.

Didn't they used to have tacos? I swear that I've seen pictures of tacos in a cute metal container there before. Also, I remember that Janelle from Magic Journeys liked the Strozzapreti pasta once.

The lettuce wraps are a great share option.

I also like the meatballs with Tzatziki. There are two of those so they're easy to split between two people.

Depending on how much you like to share the pasta is good sized portion and you can even add a chicken breast to make it more filling.

The Lettuce Wraps used to have tortillas in place of the lettuce wrap.

Hi All! Figment says it’s been a while since he’s posted and thought he’d say hi with some photos from Centrico!
IMG_0320.jpeg

This new restaurant has taken the place of UVA Bar in the middle of DTD. It was doing a soft opening this week (grand opening is slated for May 1), so Figgy and family decided to give it a try.

IMG_0319.jpeg

It was very lively and seemed to be pretty popular already. The did ask how we had heard of them or were we just walking by. Figgy had seen they were open the night before and asked if they were going to be open the next day and they said yes. Sounded like the plan was to be open now through the Grand Opening.

We tried the Carne Asada Tacos, Quesapastor, Tlayuda, and Chef Carlos’ BBQ ribs.

IMG_0315.jpeg
Quesapastor - part of Figgy’s family like this one and another didn’t. Figgy thinks that this is one that is best eaten piping hot, otherwise it gets kinds of mushy. Good flavor when hot.

IMG_0314.jpeg
Carne Asada Tacos - these were really good. The meat was very tender and flavorful. They accompaniment were good, but the sauce was very spicy!

IMG_0316.jpeg
Tlayuda- This was the surprise hit! The chorizo was spicy, but everything had good flavor and lot of different textures. It’s also huge (very shareable).

IMG_0311.jpeg
Chef Carlos’ BBQ Ribs - we had to try these (they had the chef’s name). The BBQ is very tangy, but had good flavor. The dill was surprising, but did really complement the sauce. The presentation was also very cool!

Overall, Figgy and his family really liked Centricos and would happily go back!

Thank you! Do you know if they still offer a seasonal ice cream sundae for dessert, or hot chocolate & cookies for dessert? I'm a sugar fiend. :)
