Moving to Lake Mary area in Florida

We will be moving to Lake Mary area near the end of the year. Tell me all about that area and the surrounding areas. Going to rent for a year to see exactly where we want to settle down. What other towns are around that area that are nice and safe. What are rents like? Schools? jobs? shopping?
