Our wakeup call is at 6:00am to give us plenty of time for our PS at Cinderella’s Breakfast at 9:00am. The plan is to be at MK for 8:00. Luck is on our side and we are all dressed and ready by the appointed time and arrive at the MK in plenty of time.

When the gates are opened at 8:00 we step onto Main St. for the 1st time. Darla tears up at the site of the castle & Carl is just so excited to be there. We take the obligatory pictures in front of the castle and go to the Town Hall to get the birthday button for Carl. We make our way to Cindy’s and Darla checks us in by 8:15 and we are seated a few minutes later. Our meal was very good. This meal seems to get a lot of mixed reviews but for us it was one of the better ones. Carl liked his pancake and Darla & Tia both had the hearty breakfast. The apple/cream cheese fritter was especially wonderful. Carl was enjoying the extra attention that the birthday button created. Cinderella even gave him a birthday kiss, much to his dismay. Aladdin, Belle, Snow White & Cinderella were all very friendly. After breakfast we start down to the lobby were the Fairy Godmother was holding court. Of course Carl left his camera on the table so Tia went back to retrieve it.

We made it to Fantasyland shortly after the 9:00 rope drop. By then Dumbo already had a 20-30 minute wait. Fortunately Carl felt it was too much of a baby ride. Instead we walked on to Snow White, Peter Pan, the Golden Carousel & Small World with hardly any wait. Pooh had a posted wait of 15 mins but it was really more like 10, still not a bad wait. After Small World we decided to do the Tea Cups. Again, no wait. We got off the Tea Cups in time to get Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum’s autograph. The Mad Hatter was also out but the line to see him was huge.

After Fantasyland Carl wanted to go on the Tommorrowland Speedway but the wait was already up to 35 mins, so instead we went on the Tommorowland Transit Authority. Another walk on attraction. We rode around twice without getting off. Afterwards we headed to Toontown.

We toured Minnie’s House. This must be the most disorganized thing in Toontown. I’m not sure how they could make it better, but there must be a way. It was crammed with hot, sweaty & smelly people. The whole house had a rather pungent odor. After Minnie’s we went to the Hall of Fame and stood in line for Tigger & Eeyore. The wait was long as we were there right at noon, apparently as the characters are changing over. But, it was worth it as every other time we saw Tigger or Eeyore they had huge lines.

From Toontown we took the Train over to Frontierland. Splash Mountain was down because of some problem, so there were tons of people all heading for a place to eat. Instead we took in Pirates of the Caribbean (short line). It was fun, can’t wait to do it again. By the time we were done with that Carl was hungry and it was getting close to parade time. So we got him a hot dog at a vendor near Country Bears and claimed a seat right at the line in front of Pecos Bill’s. Our parade spot was wonderful and Carl got to join in the parade when the Lion King float stopped right in front of us. It was then that I realized my camera wasn’t working. I was so heartbroken. No pictures of Carl playing the drums during the parade. After the parade we went back to Adventureland to do Jungle Cruise before our PS at 1900 Park Faire at 5:15. The Jungle Cruise was cute. The line appeared long but was moving right along so there was very little wait.

We took the monorail around to 1900 Park Faire. We had been really looking forward to this meal, especially after all the good things we had heard about it. The night we were there it was kind of disappointing. If you go, do it for the characters not the food. The buffet is small, crowded and poorly laid out. Add to this the lack a dinnerware at the children’s buffet and it is just very annoying. To get plates for the children’s buffet you have to fight your way through the adult buffet and the plates are only on one end. There should at least be some smaller plates at the small buffet. We will not be going back. The Strawberry soup and Bread Pudding w/ vanilla sauce were good, but not enough to justify $21.95 per adult.

After dinner we headed back to the resort and changed into bathing suits for a dip in the Main Pool at DxL. The Main Pool is quite a good size. The water slide is nice but poorly marked. We only went to the main pool once but that was because of our schedule as opposed to the quality of the pool. The water slide closed at 9:00, but the pool itself was open till midnight.

Maybe it was just an off night at the villain dinner. The dinner we had in July was great. Thanks for posting!
