Leonard's Waikiki questions

Two questions:

First, is there an on/off ramp both eastbound and westbound from the H1 right there at the exit close to Leonard's?

And second, are there certain times of day where it's a nightmare getting on/off there in either direction?

Thinking of stopping there on our way to Waikiki from the airport around 3:00pm and/or on our way to Hanauma Bay from Waikiki around 7:00am. Advice appreciated!!

@cgattis Heading either east or west bound on the H1, take the King Street exit from both directions. From there, you can head into Kapahulu. You'll definitely hit traffic leaving the airport around 3:00 pm around the airport viaduct. Probably about a 30-40 minute drive. Shouldn't be as bad when heading to Hanauma Bay as most of the traffic will be trying to come into town (westbound).

Our current plan is to stop at the mobile location after our flights arrive at about 230 on a Friday on the way to Aulani since our DVC room probably won't be ready until 4pm anyway. We'll probably stop again on our way to the airport for our 5pm island hopper to Kauai that Sunday too.

Good plan. You likely won't have a long time to wait for your room though. If you land at 2:30 you won't be leaving the airport until after 3:00 once you get your luggage and rental car. The drive to Aulani will go pretty quick and then you need to deal with the front desk.

on a friday after 3?? It's going to be bumper to bumper traffic most of the way. Even without stopping you're not going to get to Aulani till well after 4. Well, after 4. On the other hand, the stop at leonards will be a nice little break.

Thanks for the tips guys! I'm sure the stop will keep us happy for the rest of the drive.
