It's a Grown up girls trip!!.....Wait a tic...It's a SOLO girl trip!!!

An empty MK is wonderful but I personally would hate to miss the MK opening show at the entrance. There is something so magical about starting the day with it. "Good morning, good morning......" But if you have more than one MK morning planned, this is a great idea for you OP! Sadly, I don't.
I'm actually going with NO plan! o.O I know! But I figure, it's just me so no biggie. I've made FPs for while I'm there, but if I get them I get them. I'm probably just going to jump on the first bus that shows up everyday. I have park hoppers, so I can play at all the parks. I do have a 4 parks 1 day goal for this trip though :D I haven't been to rope drop before though....I really want to see that show!

Since my solo trip is so short, I had to make a plan however I plan to be flexible. Most of the attractions I want to do solo won't really require FP but I made them anyway. I would like to visit all 4 parks BUT will settle with 3 if that is all time allows. Most of my time will be spen

You have 7 or 8 park days, right? If I had that many, I too would go with NO plan. Even with my 3 days, although I have a schedule, I will be flexible and will change things whenever I want. I didn't make any ADR's for that very reason.

I actually have NINE park days. :D I get in at 10 am my first day and leave at 9 pm my last day.

Hope you / ya'll have a great time. Our 11 year old is autistic but sleeps solid - you are dead on with the flexibility and earn these times. Enjoy! :)

Aaaah...the decisions! I'm starting to waver between whether I should just get the regular dining plan or not. (I know there's no value in the ddp for one...I just like to have everything paid for so I'm not bothered with money while I'm there. :))

For both of you going solo, have fun. I've taken a few solo trips and will be doing another one in Sept. for F&W. I've found, especially if you have PHs, that hopping to Epcot gives you loads of options for food. PP I wouldn't bother with the dining plan, I find when I'm solo I eat less and when I do it tends to be smaller snacky type meals. I've been known to have lunch at the tequila bar at Mexico, a margurita with chips/guac/queso. I also eat lots of QS kids meals while I'm solo, in all honesty that's what I eat when I'm not solo for breakfast and lunch. Don't be afraid of the occasional TS meal either, I've had some great ones and get almost too much attention from the staff. Take the opportunity to go slow and just enjoy the place, sit and watch the shows, walk around and look up, the details are amazing, my son and I spent about 10 minutes last week just standing there looking at the top of the buildings in Italy, for some reason we had just never noticed the details up there. I never make FPs or ADRs when I go solo, it really is a seat of your pants trip for me. I've had good luck booking meals from my phone while walking around, it helps when you are solo since time of day doesn't really matter. Enjoy.

35 days to go here! Lookie what was in the mail? Just one more sign that my beautiful PURPLE magic band will be here soon!!

I am taking a almost solo trip in July (just found out last Friday) Some friends are going for work and asked me to road trip with them down there and stay in there room - I could not pass the oppurtunity up! I am super excited! Will be following along with your trip :)

Glad to have you!.....It's nice to know someone will be reading along :P

I am getting the purple magic band too! Today is the last day mine can be changed before it ships.

I love the purple. I'm sad to say that opening the box and seeing my poor little magic band there all by it's lonesome was a tad underwhelming when I've seen those boxes full of colorful goodness! But...this is a trip on MY terms and I'm seriously excited about getting to do and see everything I want without having to waste time on compromising with anyone else. Sometimes I feel a little selfish about that...but I really NEED this trip. My son got diagnosed ASD this week last year. I think about everything that's gone on in this past year..between the doctor appts. and all the therapies and all of the normal and not so normal struggles and I didn't realize how stressed I'd become. I think my family NEEDS me to take this trip too! :D

I share your feelings of guilt. I am feeling it more and more as the trip gets closer. My daughter was diagnosed with ASD over 10 years ago (WOW, has it been that long?!?!). She is now 13 and the tween/teen years are rough, very rough. I need this break to just be me for a few days. I know just how you are feeling.

14 days!!!! I've decided that who the heck was I kidding? One of the best parts of Disney is the FOOD! Amirite? There's no way I was going to be happy with just quick service all week. So, Today....14 days out....I made dining plans! It suddenly made it feel like a last minute trip...which is awesome too!

Here we go!

Saturday April 30 - Ohana (it's not a REAL trip without this place IMHO....I mean..HELLO! Lapu Lapu!)

Sunday May 1 - Cape May Cafe (I've always wanted to try this place)

Monday May 2- Be Our Guest Lunch (It's a Stacey Must do! Ok...I don't know that for a fact, but it sounds good :D)

Monday May 2 - Boma dinner (Dude....Zebra domes....nuff said)

Tuesday May 3 - Teppan Edo (I figure I'll need conversation by now)

Wednesday May 4 -Raglan Road (In honor of my BFF who couldn't come)

Thursday May 5 - Biergarten (more conversation opportunities and a nod to my Germanyness)

Friday May 6 - Narcoosees (This is My 40th Birthday Celebration, Let's do it in style!) (ok...so I'm 41 and might be celebrating a year late....but Disney is magical...and I'm really only 29 in real life! (P.S. - I'm the real reason my daughter can't do math ;) )

Saturday May 7 - Kona Cafe (I know I'll be wanting sushi by this point, it's kind of a weekly thing :P)

Anyone want to join me?

*mic drop

If you are on the dining plan and have quick service for lunches, definitely do Flame Tree in Animal Kingdom. It is our (my) favourite in all of WDW and the ducks and birds will be good company. They sit right beside you (of course looking for a bite to eat) but good food and beautiful off the beaten trail table location is both peaceful and yummy!

Have a great trip. I think any mother, one with an ill child or not, we all deserve some alone time and time to be selfish. We spend all our time sacrificing for the better of our children and we too need to be pampered, and being alone is sometimes just what we need to recharge and be better moms overall. :)

DON'T FEEL GUILTY LADIES DOING SOLO TRIPS, THE MOM NATION IS BEHIND YOU :) ENJOY

Super Adorable!!!

This pic just oozes coolness and swagger. So cute!

So in 2013, I surprised her with her very own Mommy/Daughter trip to Disney for her 9th birthday. THAT was a fun trip!!!

Thank you for this. I'm going to try REALLY hard to decompress and not worry about what might be going on at home. We've already started a countdown for him and some social stories to get him ready. He's not happy about it, but he's not telling me that "No, you're not going" anymore :)
