hotel halfway from Catalina to Monterey...

looking for a nice beach front hotel for 1 night. Would appreciate any and all advice. Thanks!

When you say Catalina, I assume you mean from where you're catching the ferry -- Long Beach, Newport Beach, or thereabouts.

You could do the drive to Monterey all in one day -- about 6 or 6.5 hours. But if you want to stop half way, I'd probably pick Pismo Beach. Lovely beach town, and you should be able to find something you want online.

that's exactly where I was thinking. Only problem I'm having is finding a hotel for the 1 night, most have a minimum of 2. Both Best Westerns are available, can anyone offer any insight on those hotels? Thanks
