Here now at GF - beach closed & new construction. FINAL UPDATE: Panoramic view of fence and rocks

Looks like they are starting to replace the rope fences with something else. Anyone know what is going on?

Update: Looks like they are bringing in more sand and then laying down pretty rocks on the shoreline!

Update 7/15: The fence is going back up. Looks like the final plan is to have the fence spanning the length of the beach flanked by rocks:

Final Update 7/16: Here's a final panoramic shot we took on the last day of our stay. Note the alligator/snake warning sign every 4th or 5th post. Personally I think it looks wonderful, serves a greater purpose and it does not distract you from the gorgeous view!

Most likely replacing the temporary fencing with a permanent solution.

Shoot I hope they are done with all the beach changes before we go to YC at the end of August and that whatever they put up isn't really hideous

I saw from a recent trip report that the Poly now has Poly-themed fencing & gator signs, so they're probably switching the temp fence out for GF-themed fencing & gator signs at the GF.

I hope they don't put up something ugly.

The Poly fencing/signs looked good, so hopefully this will be an improvement.

We'll be there this Friday- I'd love for them to be done by then.

Yes, that's how I saw it. It was Poly-themed & looked fine.

Hm looks like the fence is still the temporary one. The gator signs are still there in another shot so looks like it is slowly changing.

The poster wrote in her trip report that they were there to see the new fence & signs go up, so the shots show some before & after. Definitely a work in progress.

Thank you for sharing! So helpful. I am curious about both the Grand permanent fencing solution and YC/BC fencing. We arrive in a month and hoping it is something appropriate and themed.

Thanks for the pictures and info, I'm interested to see what they do, I thought the temporary fencing was good enough but I guess not. Hopefully whatever they put up now will blend in nicely with the GF theme.
