We are doing the Transatlantic cruise in May, 2011 from Port Canaveral to Barcelona. Just wondering if anyone has done that cruise and what you thought about it. Also wondered if you did any of the side trips. If so which ones and how were they? My husband and I along with our best friends will be sailing together to celebrate our 60th birthdays and our 40th anniversaries. They were all last fall, but we wanted to do something special, so we choose to wait for this cruise. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Yes we did this cruise last April and we loved loved loved this cruise.
Most of the excursions are changed, we did a Disney tour at Cadiz to Arcos de la Fronterra and Jerez.

In Barcelona we did a DCL excursion to Parc Guell and La Sagrada Familia.

At Gibraltar we did a tour on our own just hired a cab for a couple of hours and did see the rock on our own pace.
In Madeira we did see the botanical gardens an the city on our own.
Again we loved it, the 6 sea days were heaven so relaxed but so much to do.
We have made some great friends during this trip.
I would highly recommend doing a TA cruise!!!
