The only character breakfast we have done is Spider-Man at Universal. My 4 year old is in love with mickey so we were going to do the Chef Mickey. We arrive April 30th, typically we do 2 days at Disney and 2 days at Universal and two days for downtime. On the first day we are there we were going to go to Chef Mickey. We have no other plans that day, this will be a down day for swimming in the pool getting some food for the week it. Might go to downtown Disney. Might just do absolutely nothing .We are staying at Bonnet Creek on the Disney property and we will have a car. There are not many reservations left. I can do a 1 o'clock brunch, or a 11 o'clock breakfast. Both times are fine for me. It does not appear there is a good selection of brunch? My husband does not eat salmon neither do my sons. There will be a party of 7. Some are picky eaters. My 9 year old has been to Disney about 5 times, my little one has been twice but he does not remember any of it so I want this to be special for him as my oldest one has been able to do the breakfast was Spiderman a few times. And several of the trips were catered to just him.
Do they do any made-to-order foods? Like at the buffet do they have someone who will make the eggs for you or waffles? If I can get a special egg white omelet or some made-to-order foods at the buffet itself that would be perfect for me. It does look like they have a separate menu but that is not my question it's more of the buffet.
Also how much time should I allow from Bonnet Creek to the hotel?

I would go for breakfast. They do not have anyone up there who does made to order foods. They can make you an egg white scramble or something similar to it, I'm sure. The kids should love it.

I'm not sure about travel times since we only stay at Disney resorts.

My kids were really underwhelmed with our experience at CM for brunch. It was my youngest 3rd birthday that day and she was Minnie biggest fan! Food was mediocre and character interactions sub-par. We should have gone to Cape May instead. If it's only Mickey he wants to see, maybe O'Hana breakfast would be an option? They have Mickey and Pluto in addition of Stitch and Lilo. Never been but the reviews are much better than Chef Mickey (not surprising imo).

If you are really set into going to CM, I would choose breakfast. Have a nice trip!

We've done CM for dinner, not breakfast, so I can't speak to that, but we love love love 'Ohana breakfast (and Cape May)!

Chef Mickey's breakfast is a Disney trip must do for my crew. I'd be more inclined to choose the later breakfast over brunch. We had a late breakfast there on our very first trip and they were consistently replenishing the food. The breakfast quiche is de-lish! :thumbsup2

I love Chef Mickey for breakfast or dinner. If we do breakfast we always try to get the latest ADR possible and have never had any problem with lack of food on the bar as they are constantly replenishing.
Perfect for a 4 year old. Character interaction is great.

We had a great experience at CM for breakfast. The food was good, and the character interactions were fantastic.

Thank you! We will do the 1030 breakfast. Which would be 730 according to our body. I reserved both times and will cancel the brunch. The brunch didn't sound appealing

We did CM last year and really enjoyed it. CM seems to get a bad rep by some, but we didn't have any problems with it and found the character interaction to be on par with other character dining options.
