I think canceling HDDR is for the best. We're trying Via Napoli this trip too and I'm excited!

We never rent a car while at WDW. We would need a large van or two vehicles to fit our group of 7 and that's just too much of an expense. The bus service at Pop is nice with just one central stop. If you get to the bus stop early in the morning and avoid leaving with crowds (right after FOF or nighttime entertainment) you'll be fine in the evening. But if it makes you happy, a rental car is the way to go!

Sleeping in and taking it easy is a great plan! And I loved our lunch at LTT! The ooey gooey toffee cake is really amazing! And I'm excited to read your review of Yachtsmen. I'm going to try dinner here in October I think.

Its funny because we have much less restrictions this time and I found myself being very overwhelmed with wanting to do so much and still not having enough time. I guess it's true, you can't do everything at WDW.

I know, I am much more looking forward to this food than HDDR.

It honestly might be more fun to wait and do HDDR with the boys sometime in a few years though. They might enjoy the show and have a good time.

Yeah, after what others have said, I'm not too sad to save this to share with the boys.

Oh boy... if I was going on an adults only trip and planned to be mostly in the parks, I'd save the money and use Disney transportation. But if you're planning to spend much time visiting other resorts... I'd lean towards renting a car.

That's the thing we do plan to spend most of our time at the parks, but we want a chance to rest every day and I thought renting a car would actually give us more time in the parks because we would spend less time waiting for buses

Another option to consider would be Uber to get to resort ADR's if it can save you some money. I've never used it, but I know a lot of people seem to like the service at Disney World.

I have though about Uber, I've just never used and I am unsure about pricing

Its probably for the best. you'll have more fun at HDDR with your boys with you anyways. Its just such a pain to get to.

We will definitely go, probably when the boys are a little older.

The final day is always sad even planning it is sad but all good things come to an end. I haven't heard much about the chef mickeys brunch so that should be nice.

I actually haven't heard too much about it either, hopefully it's as good as breakfast.

Plans sound great. I really am loving the feel of an adults only trip! I mean, you can even ride the coasters and stuff together! It's funny, we did a lot of that in 2010, but now I've totally forgotten what it's like.

It's so funny you say that because we were just talking about that tonight. We watched the Disneyland special and getting excited for our trip and Joe said we haven't ridden a ride together since 2007 when we went to Universal

For what it's worth, if you want to rest after eating at Beaches 'n' Cream, there is a nice area in back of the hotel/lobby with chairs and couches (the solarium) and we've napped there before.

That's why were going for lunch, we need to try that toffee cake. I will be sure to take lots of pictures and give feedback about our dinner. Le Cellier is always talked about, but I have heard really good things about yachtsman.

The countdown is on...39 minutes until midnight and FP time Of course, I decided to check FP availability so I would know if there were any gone already and saw that BTMRR is not going down for refurb now. This is something that I should be happy about because I love this ride and was bummed I had to miss it, but it just meant I had to scramble to rearrange things to now fir it in my schedule . Disney problems am I right . I think I've got a pretty solid plan in place, now hopefully I can get the FPs I need. I did WAY to much shopping on Etsy and other various retailers this week for our up coming trip, that along with FPs and F&G starting and menus coming out, I'll have a lot more to post in the upcoming weeks. Wish me luck

I was up late last night making our FP+ reservations! So I'm there with you. And I agree 100% with the BTMRR confusion. My plans were all set and they had to up and change the refurb schedule. Then I had to scramble to change it all!

Fastpasses are made and we are finally in the home stretch of the planning process. Lots of things announced or rumored about recently that could positively impact the trip. Rivers of Light will definitely be going on for our trip and we are super excited to see it, but a little worried about the crowds since we plan to see it just 10 days after it opens. Also, possible new functionality coming to MM+ to allowing booking a fourth FP on your phone is rumored to be up and running in April and this would be a huge help to us if it does happen for us when we're there. There will also be new SW fireworks, but it is unknown when that will start. We haven't even seen this iteration and I would be happy to just be able to see that. Right now, they aren't scheduled after April 30 so I am worried that it will be down while they rework the show and that would be a bummer, but we'll have to wait and see. Last, purple magicbands are available FINALLY for your resort band. This is super exciting to me because purple is my favorite color and I have been wanting one forever. I was even seriously considering buying one while we were down there, but I am so happy I won't have to do that now. Here is my itinerary spreadsheet, that beside having to update time for RoL, will need need no more tweaking.

If there was ever a reason to book a trip I would say to get a purple mb would be one . I am hoping to see RoL without the FP or dining package, we'll see fingers crossed.
