Hahahaha looking back you'll have to remember that you did get a chance to ride alone - Delilah will be the 4th in that puzzle. Same for me - I did try to enjoy that alone time as well when I could!
I love Paxton's Olaf! Did he write his name on his paper? If so he has very good handwriting. Aria can write her name but it comes out like AriA. This was a really fun thing we did at DisneyQuest in May, and I'm so sad they closed it at DHS.
LMAO. I don't remember seeing that pic but I don't use instagram (some ppl post their instagram to facebook, can you do that??)
I love that all the Frozen sing a long shows are different! DLP was different as well, so we thoroughly enjoyed it despite having seeing the WDW version about 10000 times.
I think you said you had never done this, but still can't believe it with Paxton in tow!! Glad he had a good time over there, it is so much fun. Growing up going to DL, it was seriously one of my top 3 things to do there (though it wasn't Pirates Lair until more recently, still fun though).
Hey! Delilah will love it too
I know, soon enough, we will be fighting over who gets to ride with Paxton because he will finally be old enough to handle the shooter on his own! lol
That was written with Daddy's hand over his! lol But now that he has started Pre-K, he writes his name REALLY well! He was just starting to do it while at daycare, but they didn't push it very much there. In school, he is writing his name several times a day so he has gotten pretty good at it. I'm SO sad they got rid of it at DHS, and right before our trip! I know Paxton would have wanted to do it again in WDW.
Yeah, you can share them to FB from IG. I usually do! I think I did, but I'm not surprised you missed it with the terrible way the FB newsfeed operates. It drives me nuts that I miss so many posts and my feed is full of junk instead.
I don't really know why we have never done TSI except that I never once did it as a kid so I didn't ever think to make time for it because I didn't know what I was missing. He LOVED it though, so I'm glad we finally made the trip over there in DL. It's a lot easier to do with so much time in the parks and already feeling like we had accomplished a ton. Hopefully we can find time to check it out on our trip coming up!
You're totally right! I should say it's every little kid's dream!!!
Paradise Pier is so lovely and quiet in the mornings!
Nice getting 2 rides on TSMM! Such a tough task at WDW!
I'm glad DS enjoyed the animation academy! His drawing came out pretty good! Too bad they were only doing 2 characters at the time.
I'm also glad you were able to see the sing along without too much protest from DS this time!
It's great that you were able to take some time to do more relaxed rides like the riverboat and the rafts! Great pictures
With everyone flocking to Carsland it was nice to head somewhere that wasn't nearly as busy. It was great getting back to back rides on TSM and we maybe could have squeezed in a third, but we were ready to try other things.
I remember the last time we were in DL, there was a list outside of all the characters they would be drawing at each time slot. Very cool that you could choose which ones you wanted to attend based on the character! But we all had fun drawing Olaf anyway. It just doesn't lend itself to repeatability.
We loved having the freedom to do all of those little things we usually skip because we feel short on time. I'm so glad we went with a full 5 days in the parks!
Looks like a really good day. Our DD is anti-Frozen but we dragged her to the show @ DHS. It's cute - a LOT of humor - but not one I will go out of my way to see at DLR.
We did TSMM at park opener in 2013. No wait at all!
WE never made to Tom Sawyer Island at DLR, we did it once at WDW but there was hardly anything to do there and have never been back. DLR's version looks much better. I wonder how much construction over there will shrink it...
Quick question for you - are they still allowing late FP returns at DLR? I know they still use the paper system, but I was trying to find out if you could still show up after the hour-long window and still use it. That will definitely affect the strategy for our upcoming trip.
Also - how are RSR Fastpasses nowadays. It can't still be the insanity of the when it first opened, right?
I was surprised at how funny the show was! I'm sure we will see it at DHS with the lack of other things to do there at the moment.
It's such a nice change of pace not to get run over getting to TSM in the morning and getting a couple of rides under our belt to start off the day!
DLR's version was great, but of course I have nothing to compare it to. We may try to make some time for it this trip since it will be very MK heavy so we should have lots of opportunity.
Once I read this question, I realized I didn't use a single FP myself the entire trip!! I will have to defer to
@DDuck4Life on that one, but I'm pretty sure they did allow late returns. I can't imagine he made it within the window every single time?? The FP situation was definitely better compared to our last experience when Carsland had first opened. We were able to go over to DCA a few hours after the park opened and there were still some available for later in the day. Not like before when they would be gobbled up in minutes! I think there was only once that we went over to look for some to be available and they weren't, and that was late in the day when we tried.
