I am not coming till Oct. I am very interested in the 60th anniversary items, and do not want to pay inflated rates...is there any website you trust who has a good rep to get the 60th stuff without a lot of overhead? I am hoping the items will be n sale on the disneystore site...not yet...i have been checking on eBay and Amazon but I think the prices are way too high...40 for a popcorn bucket? Really?

Unless you see something in the photos posted in the links above, I wouldn't worry a lot about seeing 60th merchandise in October. I expect that there will be a lot of merchandise for the 60th and it will roll out throughout the course of the celebration. This was just the first round of stuff and I wouldn't be surprised if more stuff trickles out on a fairly regular basis. In terms of the popcorn buckets, I also think those will be around for a while, so hopefully they will still be there in October (or perhaps there will be new designs). The other option is (if you're willing to pay for shipping) to call Disneyland Merchandise Mail Order and see if there is anything they can mail order to you. I don't think they can send the limited edition items, but non-limited edition items may be ordered via the phone (normally).

There are nine open edition pins (here are eight of them). Some are currently sold out, but given that they are open edition it probably means they'll be back in stock at some point.

A friend of mine is going to Disneyland in a few weeks, and has agreed to purchase (assuming they are available!) Diamond anniversary ears for my son. Any idea how much money I should send with her for this purchase? My son LOVES ears, he has the 50th anniversary ears, as well as the first pair we ever got him, and a pair of sorcerer ears.... etc

The 60th Anniversary Mickey Ear hat (blue with silver ears) was $17.95 according to my receipt from the Mad Hatter shop on Main Street.

They also have the Made with Magic version; it's pictured in a Parks Blog Post. Those are $23.15 plus tax.

They also have a pair of Minnie Mouse ears (sixth photo in this Disney Blog entry) and Minnie Mouse Headband (second photo in the same Disney Blog entry). Unfortunately, I don't remember the price(s) for those items.

We saw several things we wanted while we were there last week. We went to purchase them the next day and they were sold out all over the parks. If you see something you want get it when you see it because it will be gone!

I really liked most of the pin designs. None of them had edition sizes listed, so I think they're all open edition pins. Hopefully that means they'll get them back in stock at some point (a few were sold out by the end of the Memorial Day weekend).

I have to say that I went ga-ga over the 60th merchandise. I could have seriously bought every single item they have out. I did buy a lot and was sorry I could not get more. I may just have to place an order with someone to get additional things that I can't seem to get out of my mind.

Has anyone seen any minnie headbands other than the one pictured in the link above? I have seen pics of people wearing ones that are all silver and also silver with a dark blue bow - wasn't sure if those were official DL or etsy.

Disney does sell an all silver sequin Minnie earband, but it wasn't specific to the 60th. The entire thing is sequin silvery, including the bow. Otherwise, it's the earband shown in the Chip & Co photo (shiny black with be-jeweled light blue foam bow) and the uber expensive glittery pair ($195) (I couldn't find a good photo of it expect on eBay, but it's black with a silver bow - if you search for "Disneyland Crystal Headband" on eBay, you'll see it). There is also a headband with two "diamonds" (plastic).

They did also have a sliver sequin version but again I don't think they said 60th anywhere on them, even though they were sold in the 60th merchandise section

Disneyluvr2, lcasa and I made our own ears. We just used regular Minnie headbands and doctored them up. We all used $1 tiaras from Joann's. DL2 replaced the original red bow with a blue one, and lcasa and I made little blue "socks" that pulled over the black ears. I decorated mine with some diamond pieces I'd kept from an old scepter that broke (yes, I had a scepter ). We had lots of people ask us where we bought them

I have both sets of the earbands. The all silver ones came out before the start of the 60th (I got mine back in March). The black ones (with the blue foam bow) were released specifically for the 60th, but they don't say the 60th anywhere on them.

The Parks Blog entry said that a new collection will debut approximately every 60-days. So if the first set was released in late-May, the next set should come out later this month (July).
