Day 5, December 18, 2000 Finally on our way home!
Mickey wakes us. Our bill is at the door. We shower, dress and head to Whispering Canyon for breakfast. We had another wonderful server and a great breakfast. We return to our room, get the bags, call for the car and head to the airport. We return the car and have to go to the National Counter because they charged us for 2 days. That was solved and off to check in at the terminal. The ticket attendant tells us our flight the day before never made it to Boston because the airport was closed. The windows of the control tower were blown out!!!! It was diverted to Providence and then everyone was bussed to Logan. Who knows what time we would have been home?!! According to everyone at the airport we made the best decision to stay. The flight attendants on our flight home said their flight to Hartford on Sunday was horrible. Almost everyone on board was sick.

Every thing happens for a reason!

Thoughts and Observations:
1. CP package is definitely worth it.
2. Stop at City Hall if it’s your birthday…you never know! Also the “Today is My Birthday” button gets a lot of attention. Kids love it!
3. Cindy’s and Whispering Canyon have great breakfasts.
4. Go to Osborne around 7:15, about 45 min AFTER it opens. Crowds not bad.
5. Go see the resorts and their décor.
6. CS – Nice resort but way too big for my liking. We LOVED WL!
7. Liberty Tree is a must do I think for every vacation at MK.
8. Don’t use the AAA diamond lot. Way too much walking after a long day to get to your car.
9. Smile and be happy, it will usually be returned!
10. Emerald Aisle for National Rent a Car…what a great service!

Kind of fun that you got an extra day even though not under the best circumstances. You seem to have had an open minded and positive outlook on this vacation and went with the flow. Those are the things that great vacations are made of!

Thanks for the great tips, Cora.

Thanks also for taking the time to share your trip with us.
