Colorado man sues first responders

When DH started serving as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, we discussed getting umbrella insurance, just in case. We never got around to it. Now that I'm reading this I'm going to make him call our insurance company tonight.

Sigh. People are idiots sometimes.

You know the sad part of this is that this ding dong and his attorney might actually get a settlement out of it if they file the lawsuit. There are many places that will settle a case not because the city or the first responders did anything wrong but because it is sometimes cheaper to settle than it is to fight a lawsuit.
