Can you recommend a digital, wi-fi, email photo frame?

I'm thinking this would be a good gift for the grandparents this year. But ideally, I'd not pay more than $100.00. One the other hand I'm not sure if I can get a quality one for that price. The grandparents are technically savvy and I don't want to give them crap.

Really, a digital frame that I could email the photos to is what I'm looking for.

Thanks for responding, if you have one or any advice.

Pix-Star and Nixplay make good ones (or so Amazon reviews say). I'd look at the Amazon reviews before choosing a model. The Pixstar one is $190 but some of the Nixplay are in the $100 range.

I didn't even know these existed (wi-fi and email to a frame??)

I'll be following - thanks for starting the thread :)

I know, they sound pretty cool. The one person I know in real life has a Nixplay and in her estimation it was kinda cheap.

I am hoping for some real life reviews here but it looks like they aren't too popular yet. I am also hoping that the prices will come down in December.

I gave the Pixstar one to my parents probably a year and a half ago. It's fantastic. It's hooked up to their WiFi and I can email pictures to their frame and they show up in minutes. It makes a doorbell like sound when a picture arrives so they know they have new photos (you can set up hours not to notify on the associated website).

When you set up the frame you register it through their website and get a specific email address for that frame. I'm able to text to email from my smartphone which is great because i'll send them pictures of the grandkids while we're out and about - they live 500 miles away so it lets them see the kids in real time. You can also upload pictures directly to the website if you have a bunch to upload at once.

I know the pixstar one I have runs $190 on Amazon right now, but I'd urge you not to "go cheap" on this item. I had a similar one made by Kodak that died fairly soon after I got it. This is one of those products that may be worth the cost.

Let me know if you have other questions- I'm not sure what else to say but can try to answer specific questions

Sorry, fixed a rather significant typo :)

Thank you very much! I will hope the price decreases later in the year. Now I know which one to keep an eye on.
