I am going to take whatever BOG meal we can get an ADR for but curious what everyone's preferences are so I thought I would just ask.
  • Do you like breakfast, lunch or dinner more at BOG?
  • Also why? (eg value, atmosphere, menu options, etc).

I did not vote in the poll, because it's a lot of commitment to click on one box and have that answer locked in, LOL!!

We have enjoyed all of our meals there: one breakfast, one lunch, and two dinners.

Last year we did lunch and dinner. Lunch was fine, we'd eat there again sometime. It was loud and hectic, though. Tough to find a seat. Our dinner last year was amazing, though!

This year we did breakfast, which we really enjoyed, and dinner, which was not as good as last year.

At this point, after eating there multiple times, we're in no hurry to book again. That doesn't mean we didn't like our food, just that it's time to do some new things.
If we were to book just ONE meal there for our next trip, we would choose breakfast, particularly if it was before park opening.

All that being said, we love Be Our Guest overall, and it's definitely worth doing!

Good luck with your ADRs and have an awesome vacation!!

That was actually our thought exactly. If we can get one before park open, we are going for it. Otherwise we are taking what we can get. :D

I have breakfast lunch and dinner at BOG and its a tough call. I enjoyed the food the most at breakfast however it does have a hectic/quick service feel to it which can be frustrating especially on busy days (we needed to stand around for about 10 minutes to wait for a table to free up and you're kind of left on your own to find one). Dinner just has more ambiance, the food is nice and you have an opportunity to see the Beast which is an added bonus..I guess it just depends on whether or not you are willing to part with the $$.

We had lunch and dinner ADR but we decided to go for dinner for the #1 reason; seeing the Beast. The menu prices aren't too bad and I'd prefer to pay that for the dinner experience in comparison to dinner. Also, my sister said that it felt more "formal" by going to dinner at a castle as opposed to lunch. Made her feel more 'royal' :-)

If money wasn't a factor, which would you prefer? The comment about breakfast being hectic does make me think twice since we will have a party of 7.

I think that more "formal" feeling is what my mother is expecting. She is so excited about finally dining in the castle after she has been there 18 times LOL.

I have never been for breakfast. I have been one time for lunch and twice for dinner.

Both dinner experiences were great, but I don't (personally) think the food is as great as other restaurants on property. I really enjoyed the pork chop when I had it and I really enjoyed the shrimp and scallops dish. That being said the menu just seems blah to me now that I have tried it twice.

We really, really, really loved our lunch there. Cost $30 compared to $80-ish for dinner, and my fiancé still raves about the croque monsieur!

All that being said, if I had never been for either, maybe I'd choose dinner since you get to see the Beast. The food was great don't get me wrong, but lunch is one that we've decided we would like to do each time and dinner is one we can say we did and we don't need to do again. :)

Have eaten lunch there 3 times - better value (to us), love the braised pork (enough food for us - don't need to pay double for dinner), no interest in pic with the beast, enjoy choosing our own place/room to dine in - that's enough reasons for us. Haven't been there to consider breakfast yet.

We ate breakfast there once, and never again. The pastries were dry and disgusting.

While we enjoy dinner, the menu at lunch is our favorite. And now all our reservations there going forward are for lunch

Anyone have the link for pre-ordering the meal?

The link appears in your My Disney Experience account at around 30 days before your holiday. If you find your dining reservations, click on Be Our Guest a window will come up that gives you the option to pre-order your food.

And to answer your question CodeGoddess if money were not object, I'd eat dinner there hands down!

We've never eaten there for breakfast or dinner so I can only speak to lunch; we love lunch there! We made sure to book a lunch there again this trip. The castle is beautiful and the food is great for QS. I've seen the breakfast and dinner menus and neither look that great to me so we've never tried to get a reservation. I'd say take a look at the menus whichever appeals to you the most try to get a reservation for, that is what we did and as I said we all enjoyed it immensely.

We love the dinner. We had the most magical experience of our entire trip last time there. My DD loves the Beast, he and stitch have always been her favorite characters. When we were there in 2013, they lost our reservation. We waited for over an hour for our table. They finally called us back. Our server went out of her way to make up for our wait. The manger came out to our table with the beast to apologize for our wait and gave DD a stuffed Beast toy. Then after our meal we waited in a short line to meet the beast. Once we got there when acted as if DD was the only one in the room. Dancing with her taking tons of pics. It was a dream come true for my then 2 year old. I know that is not the normal experience there and no other experience will ever be the same, but we like to make dinner ADRs so we can remember our most magical WDW night ever.

The food at dinner is wonderful. We loved the ratatouille and the shrimp and scallops. For us, the atmosphere and food were much better at dinner. We enjoyed lunch, but it seemed to take a while to wait in line, pay for our food, find a table, wait for our food, then navigate around the crowds and food cards getting our own forks and spoons and drinks.
