An Almost Dream Vacation

Well that is short of hitting the lottery. First the cast me the mom, total Disney nut and my friends call me Figgy, my dh and my 2 boys who will be 21 and 14 assistant planner. When We leave home July 30,2016 before 6am stopping for the night and going to KSC the next day and then checking into SOG for 3 nights. 4 nights in one room is our limit. We'll then be staying in a condo for 21 nights. We need the room not to mention 3brs and 3 baths. The plan as we have 10 day hoppers with WP+ more. Our plan 3 park days, 1 WP and mini golf day so on and so on. Then we'll take a day off to go to DTD and maybe the Disney outlets. Then it's time for Universal. We've never been there all all the men are Potter heads. So the plan is to hit Diagon Alley and then take the train to Hogsmead. Seeing we have 8 days we'll take one day off, maybe more shopping time. We do plan on going to all 4 table service places in the parks. I can't wait for August's calendar to come out so I can start making ADRs and figure out what park(s) I want to be in on what day

Have you any restaurants at wdw you'd like my expert opinion on ?.. As you know I'm the Gordon Ramsay on food and wine..

So far we have on our wish list Sanaa, WC, T Rex, BOG lunch, Y&Y or Tiffins of it's open, maybe Skipper's or LTT lunch, La Cava LOL, Morrimoto's. I think it will all come down to the calendar. Maybe GF Cafe or the Plaza might be added. No signatures as we're paying out of pocket and my boys are human garbage disposals. Snacking around world showcase, a few Grey Goose slushes and a Lapu or 3

Try the Indian breads and nine dips for starters at Sanaa,awesome.good choices. If your boys are big eaters then definitely pick out " All you care to eat " restaurants, we have O'Hanna and WCC and Liberty Tree Tavern in our selections

We hope to use lots of our snack credits at the F & W festival this year. Last trip we only tried about five countries and our favourite was Ireland but I'm bummed out about missing Debs and family,again, so I suppose God willing, maybe 2018 will be the year..

Looks goodLots of variety. You know me, always checking out restaurant reviews so I looked at the new Skipper and thought the menu looked awesome but not so the reviews, yet The Big Fat Panda ( have you seen his videos ?) loved the food.

I think it's The Bigfatpanda.com, but I'll double check on this, he does a 30 minute show once a month with all the new stuff going on with video clips etc. I'll get back to you on that one .

Hello, and thanks for tagging me! All looks good. I am really excited about your trip! Next best thing to being there myself. Not sure I would be much help in the restaurant dept., with the v/GF stuff. But, do stop by POFQ, if you have a moment, and try the GF beignets!

Just a little update. I made our first ADR yesterday the Fantasmic package at MM 2pm. Today was a big time score BOG lunch 11am and 6pm Garden Grill. I'm hungry already. I get 2 days off because the following day will be lunch at TC and dinner at Cosmic Rays and the day after will be for mini golf and a water park and that day we'll just wing it.

Nice one Figgy...Sent you a PM, but we are hoping to do a lunch at B.O.G. also..Never done MM. But Cosmic Rays is good fun, especially when Sonny Eclipse is on..

I hope you get one. The newness has worn off a bit at BOG so you shouldn't have any problem getting one! Sunny is worth waiting for a table he always does a great show

A change in plans. We're not going to KSC on the way in we'll be going to DTD and having lunch at T Rex, then checking into SOG at 3. Some pool time and dinner at a qs on the monorail. Maybe the WP and Wishes from the beach at POLY I also booked a lunch at WC in WL. I'll be toasting @Pepper pots during lunch.

We added Y&Y dinner, La hacienda 8pm dinner (hoping to get a seat with a view) and GF Cafe Y&Y may be a place holder if we get a ROL dining package
