AKL travel between resorts

We are booked July7-14 at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We have toyed with switching to the Poly just because of the transportation issue. Our relatives are also staying during that time period at the Grand Floridian. Although we will not be spending 24-7 with them, we will take a couple visit trips back and forth as well as maybe dinner at the mexican restaurant at Coranodo Springs, or other resorts etc. Are there any expediant methods of going resort to resort other than taxi or staying at the Polynesian?

Whenever anyone is trying to go from one resort to another, there's not an easy way, unless the resorts happen to be geographically close (ie, monorail resorts; or Epcot resorts; or WL /Contemporary / FW). Fortunately, it's much easier to get to the parks from every resort. Sometimes it's easiest to go directly to the resort from a park. Or go to DTD or any park and then take transportation to the resort.

AKL is wonderful, but would be a long taxi ride to GF. Perhaps someone can give you an idea how much it would cost.

The Poly would be much more convenient to the GF (one monorail stop away or walk the beach), but there would be the same issue getting to Coronado Springs. If you plan to visit a lot of resorts, a car is the best option. If you're just going to visit a couple resorts, a cab would work.

Both the Poly and AKL are wonderful resorts --- hope you have a great trip!
