2016 - Jennifer's January Jaunt! Pre-Trip Report

DisneyBound - Winnie the Pooh

Someone please tell me if these pictures are too big! They look okay on my screen but you just never know!

So, I don't know that I'll ever wear these yellow/gold pants again. They're pretty far out of my comfort zone for everyday life. But they're perfect for Pooh. Maybe I can sell them on eBay after I'm back, ha ha!

Also, I think I have too many charms in my necklace. But I love them all - and I actually have a Pooh charm coming as well. No idea how I'll fit it in there. Maybe I need a bigger necklace!

I think they are adorable! I have these bright yellow shorts I bought once from Banana republic and I didn't think I was ever going to wear them... well I ended up wearing them all summer because they were just so damn comfortable, ha ha. My husband called it my "bee" outfit. But sadly I have too much poundage to fit into them currently, I think :)

DisneyBound - Eeyore

Eeyore is one of my favorite characters! I know that he is supposed to be shades of blue, but I love the more classic shades of gray instead. The camisole is actually a lovely shade of soft pink - I can't seem to capture it well.

I actually have a little owl charm I could put in there as well.

I would definitely wear this outfit again for everyday or even work wear, since it isn't so obvious that it's a character (like Pooh.)

Only 10 days left till my trip!

I'm very excited and nervous! Today I'm working on a packing list. I completely forgot that I will have a car, so I don't have to go crazy packing some stuff. For example - if I run out of shampoo/conditioner, I can just go buy another trial sized bottle. I can buy snacks/easy breakfast stuff once I get there - I don't have to pack oatmeal in my suitcase! I can buy laundry detergent once I get there, too. I do tend to pack light and do laundry, so this will work out well.

I would like to start packing soon. It seems early but I think I can pack almost everything in the next few days and just be done with it.

***********

Update:

I started packing using my nifty color-coded packing list, and it turns out I'm going to need a bigger suitcase! Yikes! Guess I'll be buying that bigger suitcase after all. It was always in the plan to get it, I just wasn't expecting to get it before this trip!

I love your Pooh and Eeyore Disney Bounds! And I don't think it looks like you have too many charms in your necklace :)
Did your Etsy stuff come in yet? We're leaving tomorrow and some shirts I ordered from RedBubble just came today, whew! They're for DH and I to wear to Club Villain so I was really happy when I got the mail today :goodvibes
I'll be away through next Wed. but I'll be sure to catch up on your report when I get back. Hope you find that bigger suitcase!

Most of my Etsy stuff has come in. I bought way too much! I'm still waiting on two shirts, four hair bows, and two necklaces. All but one hair bow has shipped, so I think it will be okay!

Edited to add: It's kind of sad how much of it is actually coming from Florida! I kind of wanted them to just ship it all to Pop Century to save money!

One week from today at about this time, I should be just about to climb into my rental car and head to Universal Studios for the day. I'm so excited!

The two shirts and two of the hair bows have been delivered from Etsy. Still waiting on two more hair bows and two necklaces.

7 Days till Disney!!

Couple of Add-Ons, One Cancellation

I was browsing GroupOn the other day for the Orlando area and ran across a coupon for the Characters in Flight tethered hot air balloon ride in Disney Springs. I don't know why, but for some reason I thought this was really expensive so I never even looked into it. Well the coupon was only $10 and I had a 25% off code, so I bought a ticket for the flight for only $7.50! That should be fun!

I also added some things for my Universal Studios portion of the trip. I added their version of the photo pass for three days, and I added a refillable cup, and then I splurged and bought a poncho area ticket for Blue Man group! I lucked out because the seat I got is right on the aisle. That's good in case the seats are small - I can lean slightly outward and not crowd the person next to me during the show, and I can just get up and move aside to let others into their seats instead of being climbed over. I'm really looking forward to the show - it's been at least 15 years (and I think it's actually more like 20) since I've seen their show.

Because of the Blue Man Group show that starts at 7 p.m., though, there is no way I'll make my 9:00 reservation at Boma that night. I went ahead and cancelled it - maybe something later will open up that day. Who knows, though - after getting up at 4 a.m., making the flight, spending the day at Universal, and then ending that time with Blue Man Group - well I might not feel like driving to another resort for dinner at that point! I might just eat something at Universal before the Blue Man Group and be done with that evening. I'll be a little sad to miss Boma, but I have nights with no plans if I really want to head out there.

Wow, what a deal! I dont know anything about it aside from what I saw on the Disney commercial. Take pictures!

went ahead and cancelled it -

Good call, I think. You are going to be exhausted! Blue man group is awesome, I saw them (15-ish) years ago in Las Vegas. It was wild. I was probably intoxicated though, I was 21.

Are you still doing pre-park BOG on the 26th? I'll be on the lookout for you.

All the Last Minute Things

My trip is only 3 days away now. Just insane how fast it's coming up, and a niggling voice in the back of my mind is telling me it will be over before I know it. I hope the Disney Blues don't hit me too hard when I get home. I wish I had another trip to plan to keep the blues away but I just don't right now.

I've been off from work the last couple days and won't go back until I'm home from Florida. I'm trying to use this time to do all of the last minute kind of things that need done around the house - refilling low prescriptions, stocking up on groceries, making a meal plan so things are easier while I'm gone, making doctor appointments that need to be taken care of while I'm gone, etc. It's a lot of busy work but it just needs done.

I would spend the time packing, but that's almost completely done, LOL!! I got all my packages in the mail except for two bows and I've made arrangements for them to be shipped to Pop at this point.

I should get some housework done. Bleh, no fun, LOL!

Safe travels!! DH and I just came back from our adults-only trip Wed. and for the first time in a long time, I don't have another trip in the works to plan :( We had a great time though and I'll relive it through my TR once I finish my Nov. one and get this one started! I know you'll have a wonderful time, too!

Wow, I can't believe how quickly your trip snuck up on us, lol. All your outfits are really cute and festive and kudos to you for being packed already! This will be your trip to be just as Goofy as you'd like and it sounds like lots of fun to me! I hope you'll be able to pop in now and then and let us know how it's all going. :-)

Wrapping Up the Pre-Trip Report; Bring on the Trip Report!

Well, guys, I just want to say, "Thank You!" for following along with me as I prepared for this trip and helping me to pass the time. I can't believe that in just a few short hours, I'll be on a plane headed to Orlando! It's almost unreal despite all of the planning it took to get here!

Tonight, I'm fighting a sizable bout of feeling guilty and self-centered but I have faith that I'll be able to get past it. My kids, my husband, my closest friends, and my parents are all very excited for me and are happy to see me doing something just for me for a change, and I know in theory it's all fantastic. But it's hard for me so I'm struggling a bit tonight as I put the last touches on packing and getting things ready to go.

I've had a great time writing this report. I know that I'm not funny or sarcastic or quick-witted. I love the memes and gifs that other people put in their reports but I actually don't know how to insert them so I've never used them. I appreciate SO MUCH having a few readers despite the lack of cutesy photos and funny text. I always got a little thrill to see that someone had liked or commented on the thread. It means a lot!

I intend to continue this trip with a Trip Report. I have good intentions anyway! I enjoyed someone else's report who posted little tidbits a few times a day (semi-live report?) so I may try that on this trip, followed by a full trip report on my return. We'll see what happens! I hope you will join me on the Trip Report!

Bye, everyone!

I just discovered your PTR today and I hope you have a wonderful trip! Can't wait to read about it!
