“Frozen Ever After Dessert Party” with Fireworks Viewing and After-Close Attraction Ride

I've been lurking but thought I would give my review as we attended the party last night. It was awesome! I really took to heart what someone said upthread about not worrying about eating and drinking your money's worth and just relaxed and enjoyed myself. We were a party of 5 so we had a whole table to ourselves. We had table 10 so we were right up next to the railing. The drinks were good-not too strong and the food was good as well. My family especially liked the salted caramel popcorn that was flash frozen. We felt so special getting to watch the show from such a great view and we loved the special effects of the glasses they gave us to wear. It was no problem afterward to walk to the Frozen ride as a group and ride. I would highly recommend this dessert party and would not hesitate to book it again.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I love hearing from people who have done these things.

Great review. I like to read from both people who were happy and not happy.

I have all 3 parties booked for our trip, end of August into September. We were deciding between two rooms at a moderate or a suite at ASMusic. We went with the cheaper option, ASMusic Suite, and said we'd spend the $2500 savings on "extras". So I have the 3 dessert parties, 1 MNSSHP, and 1 EMM. I was hoping for EMM at Hollywood Studios, which we loved last year, and Club Villain but seems like that's not going to happen. I'm still under budget, but I don't have room to add anything else.

I bet someone else has been there, done that. Probably others who love fireworks and a festive atmosphere but could do without the crowds. :earboy2: We need a fireworks emoji, by the way.

P.S. Also, the parties are celebrations. One party is for my birthday. The other is for our anniversary. The third is for DD's birthday.
We are planning four over Christmas. But it is just my daughter and I and two are being paid for by dad and grandma. First and probably last Christmas trip. We have one booked for HEA week before Christmas and one booked on Christmas Eve for Christmas fireworks. Waiting for Frozen Ever After and Star Wars parties to be released for December.

Well then, we saw each other several times because I was at the main food station all night, was part of the escort to FEA and said good night to you because I was at the exit door and said it to every group as they left.

Must have been a very wise person.

I wondered if anyone would write a review, nice job, thanks.

Wow!!! I think that's four people going to three or more parties.

No words.

Last year, the JBJB dessert party, which IMO is a more fun party because of where it takes place, replaced the SW party in Dec. Unless they alternate nights, which would be great but unlikely, you're probably out of luck.

I know who you are now! I almost asked you if you were Fastpasser but I was too shy! Maybe I'll see you at Star Wars dessert party? We are going Thursday (tomorrow) evening.

We have the FEA dessert party booked for 10/16, the Hallowishes Dessert Party booked for 10/17, and if October will *ever* load we will book the Star Wars dessert party for 10/20.

ETA - we also have the premium Sleepy Hollow Horseman event booked on 10/19 (right after our HDDMR reservation). It's a good thing my husband won't check our itinerary until we are there, lol!!

However...there is a very real likelihood that we will cancel the Hallowishes one due to the lack of parade viewing; still holding out a sliver of hope that they will add it back in or add another event (Villains Sinister Soirée would be amazing) that would include it.

That would be fine too. We have already done the Star Wars party once, but we loved it.

Yes, assigned seating.

I'm curious about the assigned seating. How do they assign them, is it just random? It'll just be 2 of us at the Sept. 8 party. I am not at all worried about where we're sitting or with whom. Just curious. And hopeful that we'll be outside.

It's not totally random. They'll seat groups of 5 or more people at tables next to each other. If it's sold out, and it's likely that it will be, you'll have up to 3 guests at your table.

If we're a party of 4?
It's less likely due to it being only one seat, but if they need to seat one person and your table happens to be in the right location, they'll have to seat that person at your table. But it's also possible that you'll have the table to yourselves. No way to know ahead of time. My guess is that the odds of them needing to seat one person at your table are in your favor.

Good to know -- thanks! Though we'd be happy to chat up a solo diner if someone is seated with us. :goodvibes

So, now that a couple have these have taken place outside, how would you rate the consistency of the table views.....are there tables that have far better views than others or does the lower headcount allow for better table placement to ensure very good views from all tables? As always, thanks for all the great info you provide to the forums!

are there tables that have far better views than others
Far better view, no. Basically it's two rows of tables that follow the railing along the water and what I call the back railing. I guess you could say that the tables directly along the water have a slightly better view.

Yes, I didn't notice anyone moving in order to have a better view. If there's an obstruction, tables are not placed at that location which was not the case with the previous party.
