Priceline Car Rental Time Modification - The DIS Discussion Forums

I won a car rental through Priceline. It's with Alamo. I had indicated pickup time of 8am but we'd like to pick it up an hour earlier in turn dropping it off an hour earlier. Can we do this?

I read through Pricelines policies and it says no changes/cancellations to car rentals so I know I can't do it through them.

Anyone have any ideas or have you done it before?

We picked up on time but returned the car an hour later than it was due. We were charged a fee (as I recall it was around $8) for bringing it back late.

You shouldn't have an issue with picking it up and returning it one hour early in both cases. Worst case scenario with the 1 hour pick up is that they do not have your vehicle ready.

Are you using flight times as your pick-up times? If so, you may need 20 - 30 minutes from the arrival time until you pick-up your vehicle just to deboard, walk through the airport, pick-up your luggage and then get to the rental agency.

You will also have to wait in line to get your car as you cannot use any of the frequent traveler programs (Hertz Gold, Emerald Aisle, etc) with Priceline rentals.

Thanks for your replies. It would make life a lot easier if we can get away with it!

There are no planes involved. We're renting a car after our Disney trip from MCO to get to Jacksonville Airport for our cruise.

You do not have to wait in line, just use one of the kiosks.

Usually these will work, but sometimes they will not for PL rentals (same with Hotwire).
