**UPDATE** Frozen Fun Tips Thread

Update: Elements of Frozen Summer Fun are Being Extended Through the Holiday Season!!

***Frozen Fun in October and Beyond***

FP+ for The First Time in Forever Sing-along is available for October and November

Wow! With the announcement on the Disney Blog 9/12/14, it sure sounds like WDW is going to be getting much cooler!

See Disney Blog Post http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blo...ming-to-epcot/
"We’re extending some favorite elements of Frozen Summer Fun LIVE!, too, so that guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can continue singing along to “Frozen” songs with Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. Wandering Oaken’s will set up shop closer to the show through the holiday season and will feature a larger play area with real snow (in Florida!).

From the moment we screened the film several months before its release, we were inspired by the possibility of bringing this great story to life for our guests. Frozen Summer Fun LIVE! has been extremely popular, and now we’re looking forward to doing even more to allow our guests to experience the “Frozen” phenomenon"

***Frozen Summer Fun Extended!! Runs until Sept 28***

Exceptions: The Premium Package and Fireworks will only run on weekends after Labor Day. (September 5 - 7; September 12 - 14; September 19 - 21; and September 26 - 28, 2014.)

Looking for a fun way to "cool" off from the summer heat? Looks like "Frozen" Summer Fun Live at DHS is the place to be from July 5th to September 1.

Also Great Movie Ride will close at 8pm. On this I'm not completely sure but I think they re-open GMR faster than TSMM because there's less fireworks fall out.
On days that the park closes at 10pm they will not re open.
When the park closes later TSMM and Jack Sparrow will most likely open around 10:20pm to 10:30pm

Itinkso-The giant Sorcerer Mickey Hat on Hollywood Blvd. gets the full Frozen treatment with special projections of snow and ice images, in an eye-popping spectacular above Hollywood Blvd. Set to the film’s soundtrack, the fireworks show will feature special guests – including a very magical appearance from Elsa in which she will show how her powers flurry “through the air and to the ground” to produce magically icy blue and white gleaming fireworks.

Take-Along Olaf:
-complimentary, card stock Olaf
-these can be found throughout the park and at the front gate. Look for tables set up throughout the park. Usually they have a white box with icicles on the top.
-share photos of yourself with Olaf on social media using #OlafSummerVacation
-select photos will be used in the grand finale

Disney's FP+ will NOT be available for Frozen Summer Fun.
Starting Sept 2, Disney FP+ is now available for The First Time in Forever: A "Frozen" Sing-Along Celebration

Anna and Elsa will NOT be available for M&G during Frozen Summer Fun. They will be available for M&G at Fairytale Hall in the MK. Advance FP+ reservations are strongly recommended.

Fantasmic is presently nightly at 8:30pm (check Times Guides for official times.)

And one Fantasmic tip: Just as with SWW, it is best to plan on attending the 2nd Fantasmic in order to have the best view of the fireworks beforehand.

This exit takes you along a path that leads toward the main exit at the front of the park. They will be directing people to exit the park. However both times I separated from the exiting crowd to find a spot to stand in the street. Both times I was there in plenty of time (5-10 minutes) before the fireworks started. And one night fantasmic started late due to weather and I still got there before the fireworks started.

The beginning of the street looking toward the hat is actually a great place to view the fireworks. It is actually a really great view of the fireworks.

One caveat I was only with adults so we could walk pretty fast even through the crowd. But even with youngsters in tow I think you should be able to catch most of the fireworks display.
Another DISer reported that with children the first show then fireworks may not work well. Their children weren't able to see the fireworks with all the people.

The Frozen Summer Fun Premium Package:

***Dates extended weekends thru Sept 28***
-September 5 - 7; September 12 - 14; September 19 - 21; and September 26 - 28, 2014.
-Adult price has increased to $69, child price remains $39

"The Frozen Summer Fun Premium Package, available daily from July 5 – September 1, 2014 (with the exception of August 23), will offer guests reserved viewing for three of the park’s most anticipated new experiences. This package is a great way to see Princess Anna and Queen Elsa. Guests who book the package will check in at Min and Bills Dockside Diner starting at 10:30 a.m., then enjoy refreshments and reserved viewing for Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome procession at 11:00 a.m. Later on, they’ll experience reserved seating at one showing of For the First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, which takes place between 12:30-7 p.m. The evening will end from 8:30 – 10PM with an exclusive dessert party in a reserved area for viewing of the nighttime Frozen fireworks spectacular. (Note: Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome procession and the dessert party offers a reserved viewing area, no seating is available. Wheelchairs and ECVs will be accommodated).

Packages cost $59 for adults and $34 for children (including tax and gratuity). Discounts do not apply. Park admission is required. Subject to restrictions and change without notice. Book this package now by calling 407-939-1939.

(Note: Guests will receive a credential (a lanyard) for identification during the Royal Welcome procession viewing. If you are not able to attend the Royal Welcome procession viewing, please visit Guest Relations to check-in between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. and select a show time for the sing-along celebration. After 8 p.m., please check-in at Min and Bill’s. Credential identification is non-transferrable and will not be replaced if lost or stolen.)"
-show times are selected at check-in.
-Check-in 10:00 AM for parade and 8pm for dessert fireworks.
-Fully Accessible. (There is a taped off viewing area for the parade. The Premiere Theater is fully accessible. If you can transfer, you will be seated in the front and center of the theater. If you cannot transfer, the majority of accessible spots are in the back of the theater with just a few in the front. There is limited availability of low tables for the dessert. We shared a table with others.
-In event of rain, the parade may be cancelled. There is no alternate for this. However, in the event of rain for the dessert portion of the package, it will be moved to the Disney Jr. buildng.
-Parade Menu: Frozen Lemonade Cup, Frozen Strawberry Lemonade Cup, Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Dasani Water. (subject to change at any time.)
-Dessert Party Menu: Kristoff's No Sugar Added Lemon Icebox Cookies, Elsa Vanilla Cupcakes with buttercream icing, Elsa's Key Lime Tarts, Grand Pabble's Strawberry Shortcake with Silver Snow Beads, Olaf's Marshmallow Pops (no marshmallows, but a cheese filling cake on bottom and carrot or some kind of spice cake on top), Valley of the Living Rock's Krispy Bon Bons, Brownie Bites, Anna Chocolate Cupcakes, Fondue Bar, Apples, Pineapples, Strawberries, Cantaloupe, Honeydew Melon, Marshmallows, assorted nuts, Anna Push-ups, Mickey Premium Bar, Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich, Chocolate Covered Banana, Strawberry Bar, Orange Bar, Tea, Coffee and flavorings, Olaf's Summer Sunset (Passion Fruit, Orange, and guava juice, peach monin syrup), Troll Juice (Lemonade, Blueberry Monin Syrup), Warm Winter Grog (Citrus Vodka, lemonade, ginger beer), Iced Coffee (Baily's, Kahlua, coffee), Iced Summer (rum, blue curaco, pineapple juice, splash of Sprite), Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Dasani Water, Iced Summer,

Pictures of Soundstage 1

This is the queue for the Premiere Theater. The queue is across the street from the theater in the extended Muppet's queue that is no longer used by Muppet Vision. The street traffic will be blocked to allow guests entry in to the theater.

Great job, lovethattink!!

Here is the inside the magic blurb regarding the Hat Projection show to add to the fireworks description:

The giant Sorcerer Mickey Hat on Hollywood Blvd. gets the full Frozen treatment with special projections of snow and ice images, in an eye-popping spectacular above Hollywood Blvd. Set to the film’s soundtrack, the fireworks show will feature special guests – including a very magical appearance from Elsa in which she will show how her powers flurry “through the air and to the ground” to produce magically icy blue and white gleaming fireworks.

And one Fantasmic tip:

Just as with SWW, it is best to plan on attending the 2nd Fantasmic in order to have the best view of the fireworks beforehand.

Welcome! Please report back with your experience and any tips you have.

I'll be there July 5th. It will be interesting to hear how park entry goes. It's an EMH morning. I'll be an offsite guest so no EMH for me. I'm a "local".

For SWW, the park opened each day before official rope drop time. I wonder if this will be the case with Frozen Summer Fun?

Welcome! From your signature, it looks like you have an awesome vacation planned; Trade Winds, Universal and Disney!

I have two boys. My oldest thinks it's great for Disney to add this, but if he misses it he won't be upset. My youngest loves Kristoff and Sven and he is so happy to see Kristoff added to the line up! He loves theater and singing so he is very excited about the sing-along. He wants to dress like Kristoff, disneybounding style. We have a few days to work on that! Missyrose gave us some great ideas! But he is mostly excited for the activities inside Soundstage 1.

Insidethemagic.net keeps updating their post... here is the latest that sounds like it's the Aurasma app which was quite fun at SWW:

Guests can take pictures with the film’s animated characters in a virtual setting, and then email them or share on their social media channels.

That would be very cool if they did "Frozen" pictures with the Aurasma app.
