Which newsletter is this? How else can we go about getting a pin code? is it just completely random?

Not sure about the newsletter....But pincodes are random..Not everyone gets them ( kind of like Disney). You can increase your chances by signing up for emails thru UniversalOrlando.com and pricing out a trip..Other than that.. No one knows. I signed up in 2011 and never received a single pin till this year( then I got 3) .I think though that this year will be the last of them for awhile.Once Harry Potter the expansion opens, luring people in won't be neccessary

I was kind of thinking discounts might scale back dramatically next year too due to the new HP.

Since I could go on and book now with the SMSM rate I reserved our room for next fall. I thought they might possibly cut back on those rates too and since we were going anyway I just wanted to lock in the room now at a discounted price.

I got a 40% pin a few months back. I was so thrilled even though I couldn't use it. We have gone to Disney every year for 15 years and never got a pin. I just registered with universal when I bought our tickets for our spring trip this year and a few months later...got a pin. I did book next year though with a 30% discount.

Thank you to everyone for the PIN code tips!

We signed up for the newsletter ages ago, and received tons of emails for HP, HHN, etc., with no hotel discount codes. However, this morning, we just received one for 40% off! It knocked another $40+ off per night for our October reservations - hooray!

We got one for 30% off the HRH and 40% off RPR & PBH. We already have an APH rate at HRH, so it hardly saves us anything since hubby won't give up HRH. Bummer!

Got the same 40% off PIN yesterday in both my UO email accounts (hedging my bets). Seems like they sent that one out to a lot of people.

The offer is good for stays of 3 days or longer, not sure if previous PINs had that restriction.

Booked our first ever Darkside stay for 3 nights at the RPR on Nov. 24-27, just after we leave the Motherland.

I was wondering this myself, and I kid you not, right after seeing this thread I looked at e-mail and had a pin code for 40% off RPR/PBH or 30% off HRH until Dec. 25, book by Sep 29.
