Weather?? January or febuary

Which would you choose January or February for better weather. Coming from maryland so anything will be better than what we will have at that time.

January is usually colder than february

The end of february would be your best bet for weather

I visited during MLK weekend in 2012, and it was in the 40's

It would be early jan. we got lucky last year and it was 80 everyday. Just wondering if it was luck and February would be more of a guarantee. Thanks

February in theory is warmer so I'd say then, but we had a very cold one a few years ago

This is just such a hard time of year to predict weather...it can be warm and sunny or it can be cold. I've been in January's that have been warmer than February's and in February's that have been warmer than March. (I know, I"m confusing myself too.) I think if warm weather is a priority you should skip Jan/Feb altogether. If low crowds are a priority, January.

Average temps are going to be warmer the later in winter you go, but the actual weather can be all over the place. Feb 7-13 was gorgeous this year, highs probably mid 70s to low 80s, but Feb 11-16 in 2012 started out with a couple of very cold mornings (like started in the 30s) and cool afternoons/chilly evenings before it began to warm up later in my trip.

This past February(Feb 04-22) we had beautiful weather, upper 60s and low 70s with no rain and sunshine abound, with a couple of cold days in between, but nothing below 30F.
