Tell me dont go to disney!

My disney obsession is getting bad lol I think I have to work tonight (job #2) but I really want to call out and go to Disney. Tell me not too. I could be at Hollywood studios by 6, ride tot and maybe tsm.. Then finish at MK. This is sounding so much better then work. lol 1 sick day is ok right ha!

Don't go. Playing hookey at WDW is not worth possibly losing your job over!

Besides, it's better to save up vacation days and spend the whole week!

That's my thing. This is my side job. Work just to make friends. Little extra cash and discounts. Never will get vacation time. I'd never call out on my 'real job' but ugh I think I just don't feel like working tonight and rather be a Disney lol but I will go to work .. Booo

If calling in sick is going to leave someone else holding the bag, don't do it.
If it won't have any impact on anyone... Then it's up to you and whether you want to make money or spend money.

True, don't leave co-workers in a lurch. And if it's not going to put you in the poorhouse, it might not be a big deal. But be careful. It's a slippery slope. Sick days are for when you're sick. If you start using them up to play hookey, you won't have any when you really need them.

Plus, you don't want to start getting into a mindset that could lead you down the path of missing work from your primary job. If the need to be at WDW starts interfering with the rest of your life, it might be time to step back slightly.

Not comparing to your situation, but I actually know a guy who was so obsessed (and sadly had some personal issues as well), that he ended up being banned from WDW. But he continued to go and try not to be noticed by security. Of course, they knew him on sight and he always got caught. Eventually, he actually got arrested and went TO JAIL for not obeying Mickey's restraining order. I am NOT making this up.

Glad you choose to not call out sick.

Remember in the news recently the guy who saved two kids from a shark attack and got fired. He had called out sick then went on vacation while on sick leave. When he saved those kids yet posted his picture on the world news and he got fired.

Maybe you can ask for a day off next week so they can cover your shift and then go to WDW.
