Red face Help! Can't Pick a Week to Go to WDW!!

I need to decide which week would be the best time to go to Walt Disney World for a 10 day solo trip. Have to make a decision and deposit tomorrow and can't decide. I've been at both of these times of year before. Both are great in their own ways. HELP!!!!

October 25 - November 3 (Food & Wine Festival & MNSSHP)

November 1-10 (last full week of Food & Wine Festival, last MNSSHP, MVMCP)

November 29 (day after Thanksgiving) - December 8 (Candlelight Processional, MVMCP, Holidays)

We're going 10/26-11/3, but I voted for the next week because you'll get to do 3 Disney "specials"!

Since you have been these weeks before I picked 11/29-12/8. We went last year during this time and it was the best. We are going Jersey week this year to catch the last week of F&W for the 1st time

i would say crowd wise, nov 1-10. my aunt and uncle go that time and they are always happy with the low crowds and love doing the halloween AND christmas party...plus you can enjoy the food and wine festival. I like the candlelight processional dont get me wrong but if i had to pick i would choose food and wine over that. with nov 1-10 you get a little bit of everything IMO

It doesn't get much better than being there for three big special events. Nov. 1-10 by a mile!

November 1-10 is Jersey week. It gets busy at that time. I would go the week before if my kids wouldn't miss so much school. We have dome MNSSHP and MVMCP. The Halloween party is better IMHO. (Though I really enjoyed the Christmas party fireworks.)

When the kids were younger ans we would go for 2 weeks (week before jersey week and week of jersey week) the week before jw was much less crowded. The crowds increased over our time there.

NJ public schools are closed for a Thursday and Friday in early November every year so that the New Jersey Education Association can hold a convention. The convention is actually in Atlantic City, but lots of NJ families take the opportunity to go to WDW during this long weekend because of the low crowds in early November. It does make for slightly larger crowds at WDW during this time, but it doesn't result in huge crowds.

Yes to the above, our school is also closed on Tuesday for election day, Thursday and Friday for the teachers convention, then Monday for Veterans day. So basically if my kids miss 2 days of school, we get 10 consecutive days off. Half the people I know up here head to Disney that week.

So does this mean the parks are all going to be packed that week?

I picked the first week of December, because I adore the Candlelight Processional, and the whole Christmassy thing just feels more "right" in December.

Plusses include extremely low crowds and decent room discounts.

Also, the usual minuses for that week would normally be the Pop Warner kids, but they don't start this year until December 6th. And they'll be so busy the first couple days you probably won't even see them. Also, when the Pop Warner kids are in town, Disney usually blacks out free dining dates. But again, that won't be an issue for you this year.

In other words, it's a great year to visit the first week of December! Go for it!

I picked the last week of October. I went that week in 2010 and it wasn't crowded at all and the weather was good. I think the Nov 1 to 10 will be crowded. Thanksgiving weekend will be crowded but after that should be good but the weather starts to be iffy when you get into December (cold).

I also picked the week of November 29 - December 8. I have gone this week before and it was wonderful. Pop Warner crowds were hardly noticeable. I love the candlelight processional and we even splurged with an illumination cruise. While we have done the MVMCP I wasn't as impressed but that's just me. Enjoy your trip whenever it is!
