Wow! Things have really changed with this price increase announcement. We were looking to add on last December and I called my guide about how long the wait list was for my UY. He said about 2 months, so I told him I'd call back early this year, meanwhile looking for a contract.

Found one second week of January for 125 points, just about how many we wanted, for our UY, with some banked points, for $90.

Amazingly, we passed ROFR and have sent in our money and docs for the closing, just waiting on the seller.

Somehow with this increase DVC has become a "bargain" direct, if you can even get points. Seems the wait times being quoted for a lot of resorts are approaching a year!

Last year, we got on the waitlist in April for Dec UY. We didn't get the contract until Nov 30 (!) We then did a quick 25 pt add on for Dec UY and that came through in 2 weeks. Go figure.
