Buying direct and adding points through resale?
I was curious if you buy directly through Disney and then a few months down the road you decide you would like to add on can you buy resale or do you have to go through Disney?

Yes you can add points resale. It doesn't have to be the same resort, but if you purchase the same UY and title it exactly the same, they can add it as a subcontract under your existing membership.

No, you don't have to go through Disney again, you can buy as many resales as you want! We bought, in this order, VB resale, VGC direct, then VGC resale.
It only makes a difference if you think the restrictions on where you can use resale points will effect you.

Just a reminder, the resale points will still have restrictions on them. You can not combine "Disney points" and "resale points" for Disney hotels or the cruise. Only the direct Disney points.
