Help with picking restuarants with our touring "plan"
Hi everyone, I'm trying to figure out which restaurants would best fit into our schedule for our upcoming trip in May. A little background - there's four of us, myself and DBF (24), and my mother and my aunt (~55). Our purpose of this trip is the run the Expedition Everest challenge on May 4th. We are arriving on May 2nd, and leaving on May 5th. We are staying at the AKL, and were planning on having at least one meal at Sanaa.
So far, I have: May 2nd- Arrive in MCO at 11:30, ME to AKL, and after check-in go to Epcot. Eat CS in WS, try to fit in a few rides depending on the lines (Maybe SR test track, etc), and see Illuminations. I had originally planned on going to AK this day, and have a 7:50 reservation at Sanaa that I didn't cancel yet. May 3rd- Attempt RD at HS. Leave later afternoon to go to ESPN to pick up our race packets, then dinner at 5:00PM at the resort. Was planning on going to MK this night, but it seems like everyone in our group is more interested in going back to HS, so we will see how that goes. May 4th- Get there early (maybe not RD, it will be difficult for this group to do two in a row) to either Epcot or MK, depending on how much we got done the past two days. Either way, hop over to epcot for dinner at Garden Grill at 4:15. Then back to the resort for a break, and around 8:30 head out to the race! May 5th- Semi-late wake up (since the race starts at 10:00pm and the afterparty goes until 2am I think!) Head to AK, and do safari, trails, and Lion King show (Everest, Dinosaur, and Kali are all open during the afterparty). I'm guessing our ME back to MCO would be around 5? (8:20 PM domestic flight). Would you schedule the meals a different way to fit in with this schedule? One member of our group who is making a significant contribution to paying for this trip is a self-proclaimed "restaurant snob" but the other three of us have the attitude of "a nice dinner is good, but don't take away too much park time!" We will probably do a "grab and go" type breakfast that we eat on the way to the parks and a CS lunch each day. I planned for garden grill early the night of the race because we don't want Indian or African food before we run, and we wanted time to digest. However, I'm not totally tied to the idea and maybe want to have some flexibility if we wanted to go back to the room earlier? So much to consider...Thank you for your help!
