We'll be on the dining plan for the first time (6 nights) DD is 5.5 and a big eater. DS 2 will be turning 3 while there. he is not a big eater- I am guessing he'll just eat off our plates for the most part. Please let me know if there are any you'd take off We have too many TS meals booked!!
Fantasmic Dining package Mama Melrose via Napoli (lunch - will pay oop) Akershus DS's bday!! Crystal Palace breakfast whispering canyon Tony's Ohana 1900 Park Fare (Cinderella) sci fi cafe kona cafe breakfast - my moms fave so is a must do will likely pay oop It seems kind of character heavy, but I'm more interested in FUN dining (or else we'll have bored, whiney kids and it will ruin the meal for us) than the very best food. I'm leaning towards canceling Tony's and possibly crystal palace (hate using a TS on breakfast when we can eat a granola bar or something at hotel) |

...you are heavy on Italian, so doing away with Napoli and Tony's would be fine. At MK, The Plaza is a nice place for sandwiches and ice cream concoctions--and let them know about the birthday when you book so they can do something special for DS! We found that doing breakfast at the resort more relaxing than trying to get hungry kids to a park for an ADR and then waiting to be seated, etc. For that time spent, you can even get some pool time in while enjoying breakfast
Akerhous is an interesting choice...are you doing a Princess meal? if not, you may enjoy Biergarten with the kids. There's a show with music and the chance to participate in the polka and a nice buffet with kid-friendly choices along with lovely German delicasies for the adults Whispering Canyon is a wonderful experience but I wouldn't call it kid-friendly. Maybe swap that out for a ride on the monorail over to the contemporary and Chef Mickeys.

Akershus is for princess meal. We've done chef mickeys already so we didn't really want to do it again!

I would cancel Tony's & Whispering Canyon, if you aren't staying at WL. Tony's is okay, but not the best food WDW has to offer. The restaurant is cute, but there's not really any entertainment for kids. I would drop WCC, if not staying at WL, because it wouldn't be worth the travel time to me. However, it is kid friendly to me. If you're staying at WL, I'd consider paying OOP for Sci-Fi. It can be very reasonable.
We only book character meals for breakfast, but we don't use DDP. I can't offer an opinion on the DDP value. Your DS would probably like this meal best though. |
