Ack! you got snow too?!?
My son had to cancel a trip to Greenville due to the snow they had this afternoon. Nothing here in augusta but rain. Just hopped over from your cruise review as I'm looking forward to pics of the new fantasyland!!!!!! We were last there in August; so only got to see Storybook Circus. My little baby boy loved his first ride on Dumbo though!!! so I think I saw you guys in June, I especially seemed to remember Christian's hair! My oldest is Christian as well; but unfortunately i could never get his mom to let him grow his hair out after about 5 years old One more reason shes an -ex!! lol!
We were down in June for 2 weeks (one at Champions gate in a condo and one at POP); then I took just my boys back down for another 2 in August. We spent a good amount of time exploring AOA and loved it. I was never a big Cars fan (yup, a SC boy who doesn't like NASCAR) but after AOA and hearing about CARSland I re-watched it and have changed my mind. Now we have added DL to the before 18 bucket list for Christian. LM wing was still mostly fenced off in Aug, so nice to see what the finished product looks like. I think they did a great job decorating the room; it still seems to have a bit more "POP" than the other Value resorts. Hoping to see enough to conving my GF to let us spent the dough on AOA for this June's all family week! ( I get my son for 2 weeks in June and Aug. for vacation but her 2 boys can only spend half of it with us; we share an adorable little Mickey fanatic of 15 months between us. Yes, that means she has to tolerate 5 boys (including my overgrown kid self). Heart of gold even though shes a Georgia alum
well, looking forward to your posts, and I hope to FINALLY put together a TR that I will stick with for this Cruise as well as Spring Break, June WDW weeks, and (hope/maybee) a DL pilgramage in Aug. to the West coast. hoping to do a Fantasy cruise but will likely have to wait for the 2 oldest turning 18 for that special celebration. with 6 of us that will be major bucks!

We have an 8 hour drive too :/ Where are ya'll?

I'm the same way- I can't vacation unless I know my house is clean
If we do leave and everything isn't right, I will stay in a bad mood for weeks once we return. I feel like I can not catch back up on life. Sometimes we travel last second and you can't help but to go with unfinished business, but I like for things to be right. I still have not recovered from our recent cruise, It was booked and we traveled a few hours later. Grrr.

Thanks for reading along!!!

Well some of that was cruising but a total of six weeks doing Disney vacations. Hoping to add Disneyland to the mix this year. Does your sister get tired of being there all the time or is it just as magical for her?

You will LOVE AOA. It's a beautiful resort. You will see a ton of pix from AOA if you stick with me. We cover the food, the grounds, all of it.

Really? You remember seeing us? Where at? So you have a Christian too? You should definitely do a trip report! They can be fun when photobucket is cooperative. I hope they get enough complaints to change it back. You know I grew up with NASCAR because my daddy loves it. I haven't been to a "race" since the movie premiere of CARS way back in 2006. Was it '06? They had this big hoopla in Charlotte. It was only $10 a ticket. We had so much fun at that thing. Brad Paisley sang (I hate country music made after the 80's) and Larry the Cable Guy did a comedy thing. The Wilson fella sat close to us, he's McQueen, right? My girlfriend from high school has a little brother that drives for NASCAR Sprint Cup. It took me years to put two and two together. I was actually at my parents house and heard his name. Went back on FB and was like, oh, okay. Well that's cool. I don't know squat about sports. Luckily my husband is the same way...he could care less about 'em. He knows all about them, he just doesn't watch or play. Okay, back outside to see if the snow has changed anything.

Welcome back. I was working on a cruise report the past few weeks, but that's an entirely different area. I don't think a whole lot of people read both sides. Maybe. I don't know. The kids have grown a lot since I was last on here, that's for sure! Thank you for reading along again.

I definitely understand that need to leave everything clean before you leave the house. I hope you were able to get something to eat in DTD.

Your arrival pictures are great and I just love that room!

I have not converted to the new photobucket yet. I know its just days away until I have to convert. Yuck!

They already took the editing away. It's so hard to use. What used to take about 15 minutes to do for an update takes about 2 hours now.

DTD continues....

Snow? Lasted about 5 minutes. Bentley, our collie mix, enjoyed it a lot. The kids made snowballs for him and he was having the time of his life. Our other two dogs just wanted to sniff it. They could care less. If it's going to get cold, snow for 5 minutes, and brown the palms come on mother nature - Give us REAL snow!

So we took the bus from AOA to DTD. By the time we got there we had just a few minutes to do everything we needed to do. At guest services we went ahead and turned our two day tickets into water park/Disney Quest annual passes. The girl we dealt with was an nice as they come, but she was so sick. I was scared to touch the tickets she handed over to us. It was that bad! She was the one who told us what time everything was closing for real.

As soon as we got our tickets we rushed over to Wolfgang Pucks for dinner. Only two other tables were there.

Sidney ordered...

Nikki ordered...

I had...

And the boys shared this...

For dessert we ordered a couple of these...

and a couple of these...

We had a great dinner. The Wolfgang Puck Express is better than most of the table service restaurants on the table service plan. One reason we don't do DDP or Deluxe anymore. We used to always upgrade to deluxe but more than half our Disney vacation was spent eating. The kids hated it. Once the dining plan doubled in price it was an easy fix for us. Quick service or OOP all the way. If you know your QS options you can eat just as good without the waits, cost, etc. So that's how we do it now.

After dinner we went back to the bus stopped and waited.....and waited....and waited....and waited...and waited some more in the very cold weather. Rarely is Orlando as cold as it was that night.

Once on the bus and after we got feeling back in our feet, we started talking with this great family from Boston. The guy looked exactly like our friendly neighbor down the street, only he was a foot taller and had long hair. He and Sidney talked all the way back to the resort. I never got a single word in. The wife and I just made eye contact from time to time. It was funny.

Once we arrived back at AOA I refilled my mug with hot coffee before we walked back to the room. Inside the room awaited the biggest surprise EVER!!! Finally, we had pulled something off without giving it away. I don't know who was more excited. Me, or Sidney.

I agree with you about Photo Bucket. Why fix what isn't broken. If you upgrade - make it a good upgrade. Not a crappy one.

We love WPE. Best counter service ever.

We talked about this on facebook. We got a little snow, some thunder snow, a BUNCH of hail, Some sunshine and then more snow. None of it really stuck here. Crazy weather to be sure. I hope your Palm Trees hold up !!

Can't wait to see the surprise.
