Paradise Pier low floor room...stairs?
I have read the elevators can be crowded and busy at peak times. Are stairs readily accessible if staying on a lower floor or are they for emergency use only? I don't mind using the stairs when the elevators are busy and there are long waits. Which floors would be best to request to avoid the elevator waits?

We've walked down the stairs to get out before. The stairs are on the end of the hotel. We were on a rather high floor and still used them to get out when the elevators were slow. Another suggestion when the elevators are full going down is to get one going up, ride it to the top and stay there to go back down.

Thanks, are the stairs accessible going up also or are the stair doors locked? Don't mind walking if we are on a lower floor and the elevator waits are long. this is one of the negatives I have read about PP at busy times.

You'd think you could just go into the lobby floor and find the stairs and go up and not need to access them from outside of the building. Also, you can take any of the three elevators to go up. The glass elevator can't be accessed for going down for many floors (there wasn't an exterior button on our floor to get the glass elevator to stop) but they can be accessed from the lobby to go up to any floor.
