If you are going to book for FD in Sept
will you wake up early on the 9th and call in? I remember the last time, people waiting a few hours on hold. What time do they start taking ressies?

I'll be up early on the Disney Visa release date calling in. And if I can't get an AoA Little Mermaid room then, I may try calling back again on the 9th in the hope that they released more. My current fb status may explain why I'm crazy enough to do so.
conversation with Alexa on the way home from preschool today Me - "Did you play with Braden today?" Alexa - "Yeah, I don't really like to go with him though. I only like to go with Ariel." Me, thinking she means a girl in her class - "What did you and Ariel do?" Alexa - "She can't do much because she lives in the water." |

Yes I will be up at 7 am to try to make the reservation. I'm trying to get a nonpreferred room at ASM and upgrade to the DDP. I probably don't have to get up that early to guarantee it but I am so excited that I need it in stone.

I'll be checking online first. I normally book that way. Then after I book my airfare I'll call to add magical express and link all our reservation together and ask for room preference if needed.

ME!!! I will be getting up in plenty of time to get some coffee in my system and start calling before 7:00am. Last year I was my CM's first call of the day. No wait!!! Praying for luck like that this year ..... and for a LM room I think I will be needing a lot of pixie dust!

In 2011 we called a couple of days after the initial offer and were able to get FD at POFQ with no issues.
Have things changed that much in two years that it is necessary to call immediately that morning? Do many of the resorts sell out that quickly or everyone just likes to plan, for piece of mind, as quickly as possible? |

It seems that POFQ and the mermaid rooms at AOA are the ones that people say sell out the quickest.

It couldn't be any worse than stay play and dine in Jan. New promo and system update in same day. It was nightmare. I held so long that my corldess home phone literally died. It was soooo frustrating.
But I will be on the phone at 7am rather get it over with than wait for it to die down, you have better pick of resorts first thing. |

I will book on the 9th, but will wait until it shows up online. I am a Disney Visa holder, but I want to book the package with my Airtran card b/c I need one last point this month to have all of our airfare covered! Yay!
I'm looking at ASMo, a standard room. So I'm not worried about them selling out. I have all my ADRs. That was the only thing I was worried about since this trip was a spontaneous one after Danny and Black announced that there would be free dining. Hurray! We already have a trip planned for November too. We have to get the most out of our APs, right?
