Question about revising Confirmed Reservations

If I have a confirmed reservation for 7 nights and my travel plans change such that I only need 6 or 5 nights, will DVC allow me to make that change?

My fear is that I have to cancel the original and rebook right away, thus leaving a possibility that when I rebook, a waitlist or someone else snags it.

Yes, you can revise reservations without cancelling the whole thing. Just tell the MS rep that you would like to modify your existing reservation and they will be able to cancel just the portion you do not want/need.

You can remove dates at the beginning or end of your stay with no problem, I've done it a few times.

I just did this at 11:30 toda,. everything went smooth. Just have your flight info ready if you are changing dates that effect ME (if you booked ME already).

Your bigger problem is if you can still bank the points you won't be using or if you can still use them during the current Use Year.
