We stayed here and very much enjoyed it.
The room are large and were very clean. The free breakfast (yummy make your own waffles) was a big plus. The service there was excellent - we had a kiddo who wasn't feeling great and they went above and beyond to help us out. The only downside was the pool - it was small - looked more like something that belonged in someones backyard rather than a hotel...but we didn't plan on swimming - so not a big deal. http://hamptoninn3.hilton.com/en/hot...HHX/index.html |

My husband travels a lot for his job - so we had some points or something like that to apply to it - but I believe the average price is under $100 for a night. If you pay in advance I believe it is $80 something a night.

We stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton on International Drive for about $60/night. This was a deal we found on Priceline, and it doesn't include fees and taxes. I think the total per night was $75 or $80 with the fees. The room was pretty nice, and it's just down the street from Universal.

I did the "name your rate" thing on Priceline. They give you the option to choose the Universal area.I bid and won $40 per night total at the Holiday Inn Maingate. We walked across the street to Universal. Loved it !! cant beat the price (regular price was $119 per night plus tax).

We stayed at the Sheraton Studio City. I got it on Hotwire and paid (with taxes & fees) about $70/night.
We also stayed at the International Palms Resort. It was another Hotwire purchase. Rate was around $40 night, but they did have a resort fee (which I think was around $7 night). Clean and comfortable. It's right on International Drive. It was about a 5 min drive to US/IOA. |
