I read a few stories from people who were or are banned and they continued to go, according to them. Of course there is always the chance you can get caught and I'm assuming they would arrest you.

Right now though, Adam the Woo is recognized by WDW staff, so he would be spotted right away I would think.

I'm telling you, Disney is moving to a system where soon they will have the name of every guest who comes through the gates.

As it stands now, you can only buy a one day pass at the gates and they input all your info at the POS. When those wristbands come out the multi day passes will be converted too I am guessing. I also think they use face recognition software like the casinos use.

Doesn't Disney do their own "Keys to the Kingdom/Backstage Magic" backstage tours?

Maybe it's a money thing. Why would guests pay to go backstage when they can just just check it out on YouTube?

I'm pretty sure they have proven there was water on Mars at some point in time so it really makes no sense to argue the existence of extraterresrial life, ghosts, vampires or even intelligent life on earth...

He is called an Urban Explorer, which is a term that defines and labels people who explore abandoned and man made structures, like sewers or abandoned buildings, etc. Most of his photos and videos are of abandoned structures he explores and only twelve of those were Disney related.

You can look up what Urban Explorers are more in depth on a Wiki and lots of articles and documentaries which also spells out the risks and dangers associated with it. If you feel that they ALL are idiots, well then what is there to say? lol

Now I have expressed that I and others are not justifying anything. We are simply focusing on the FACTS and not exaggerating or over dramatizing the story/situation.

Most of his videos are more about abandoned structures, such as the River Country water park or the abandoned Snow White Village. In order to get to these locations you have to do quite a bit of walking through nature, so it isn't on a tour list as Disney doesn't want people to know about these areas, like the Celebration Death Pond, etc.

I think this guy deserved what he got and arguably deserves more punishment. When you break the rules (especially with Disney) you should expect to be punished to the fullest and I am convinced that Disney could persecute this guy even further. I also think this guy deserves any sort of name calling or ridicule he gets. He broke he rules and told the world about it...is anything else more idiotic?

I think his punishment was rather harsh. Trespassing generally doesn't carry a lifetime ban. A warning yes. A fine. Absolutely. Lifetime ban? Over the top IMO.

While I think a lifetime ban was a bit much, I think the whole thing is silly.
There are a bazillion people at Disney World every day. I'm sure it about impossible to be noticed. I think Disney is just setting a precedent. They want others to know it's a big deal. In a year, no one will remember what he looks like and they most certainly won't be looking for him.

IMO, the only noteworthy fact is his predilection for trespassing on private property. The state of the property doesn't matter a lick. Without permission, he's risking prosecution.

He deserved to get kicked out for life. He knew what he was doing was wrong, her trespassed and now got the consequence, which to me is light...surprised they did not charge him and he was not arrested and fined....would serve him right....he could have taken a tour and "seen" the back...what a very poor decision....but hey, it takes all kinds.....

Not arguing with you about the punishment, but the film that I saw that he made was the old abandoned River Country. I don't think Disney we'll ever offer a tour of that!
