If I understand your point correctly, I think I agree. Certainly Iger's moves have given the company Time. I would have argued that under Eisner, Disney had very little time left. Iger, for all his failures has stabilized the company such that, should at some point in the future, an executive comes in that "Gets it" there will be something left to work with.
This is less true with WDW than it is with DL and the Movie studios.
