How much "sweetener" do you add to your beverages?

Reason I ask is this: DSS visited this past week and asked for *12* Splendas to go in his coffee! Say what???!!! Yeah...12. He still complained it wasn't sweet enough because if I'd had Equal in place of Splenda it would have been much sweeter tasting. So, anyone else sweeten to excess and beyond?

That's terrible. Tell the guy to cut out the fake sweetener and drink water. If he wants something sweet, use real sugar, but in moderation.

Eta... I over heard a woman ordering an ice coffee at Dunkin Donuts and she asked for 19 splendas!!! That's just gross. The after taste that must leave....

I used to use tons of sugar and creamer in my coffee. Now I only use a small amount of flavored creamer. But I learned to enjoy it black before adding the creamer back in. I drink several cups of coffee a day and figured that was a good way to cut out a significant amount of sugar. And I don't like any artificial sweeteners, they all have a funny taste to me so no splenda or anything for me.

I find if I use sweetner then I use less then I would if I used sugar. I do like my coffee sweet.

I use truvia, and i put 2 little bags in for tea or coffee.

I don't add sweetener to drinks. I like my coffee with only cream and my tea unsweetened. I like to eat sweet food, but I don't like sweet drinks. I'd rather eat the sugar than drink it.

I drink coffee with with just half & half. I will put a little sugar in iced tea, maybe half of a tsp.

Generally, the only thing that I add to coffee is a little bit of milk. If the coffee still seems too strong, I will add a little bit of real sugar.

I don't care for splenda. I've tried it in coffee and iced tea before. To me, I don't find it that sweet. I would probably be like you DSS if that is what I had to use.

I would still rather have real sugar in smaller amounts than tons of the artificial stuff.

I usually add 1-2 sweetener packets to my coffee. However, I only drink coffee a few times a month.

I use a scant teaspoon of sugar in my coffee or iced tea or I use 1/2 pack of stevia.

I don't use artificial sweetener in anything. I don't drink coffee and I like my iced tea unsweetened. I put honey in hot tea or a teaspoon of real sugar if I'm out of honey.

When I drink coffee, I do add International Delight creamer (Southern Butter Pecan ) but I only drink about 1 cup of coffee a day.

The rest of the day it is plain Lipton's iced tea (fresh brewed in my own house, no lemon, no flavors at all, no sweetener). I am an iced tea-aholic and this is one of the things that I have the hardest time with at Disney - their tea always has that nasty fountain-dispenser flavor. I manage though - I HAVE to have my tea!

I drink water every day too, and add nothing to it, except maybe a slice of lemon or a sprig of mint, depending on my mood.

The only time I ever treat myself to a soda is a special occasion like going out to a movie or out to dinner - hardly ever - and it MUST be Dr. Pepper. And obviously that is already sweetened. I gave up soda completely a couple of years ago, but once or twice a year I just CRAVE a Pepper.

I like my coffee sweet & light, but still that equals 3-4 packets of Splenda for a very large size travel mug (holds 2+ cups). I couldn't imagine putting 12 packets into a single cup of coffee.
