Question Best Western PPI or Park Vue Inn?

I have stayed at BWPPI twice and it's a great place to stay. My mom is open to trying something new. Both have similar prices, beds for the 4 of us, breakfast.

Has anyone stayed at both? Can you compare breakfast? Room size? (we will be doing the 2 queen beds with sofa bed or the 2 queen beds and bunk beds at PVI) Pools? Anything else you noticed?

We have always received our requests at BWPPI-ground floor.

We are staying 7 nights so I'm a little more scared to try something different than if it was only 2-3 nights.

I can't give you a side by side comparison because I haven't stayed at both. But I have stayed at PVI in the 2 queen bunk room. The room was a little tight for the 5 for us but we really enjoyed it. I know reviews of PVI can be a little hit or miss on these boards, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The staff was great (even received a daily phone call to see if everything was alright), the breakfast was fine (you can't take it back to your room though), everything was clean, including the pool, and parking was great.

I would stick with what you are comfortable with. BWPPI is a solid choice.

And as the PP stated, PVI is hit or miss but I would say more of a miss.

My family(4 adults and 1 child) and I stayed at PVI last July and it was fine. This was the first time we stayed in a hotel near the park since I have family that lives not too far away. We just wanted to be able to come back and take a mid day nap. We stayed in a 2 queen room and it was just fine for us.

I liked PVI. The breakfast was your average hotel breakfast. There was fresh fruit and a waffle maker. It wasn't a huge feast by any means but enough to fill us up. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly.

I agree with the previous poster. I would stick with what I know if I was staying for that long. I read all the "hit and miss" reviews about PVI and almost stayed somewhere else but I took the chance.

Hope you have a great trip with whatever you choose!!

I have not personally stayed at either location. I was, however, shocked at how rudely I was treated by PVI when I had to cancel a reservation I had made with them. Incidently, I had to cancel a reservation at BWPPI at the same time and was treated very graciously.

FWIW, you may want to read this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread....t=park+vue+inn. If you've been around The Dis very long, you will know how well respected BlackJackDelta is around here.

I have been around a long time. I do know BlackJackDelta is a weath of knowledge here on the DL board just like Robo over on the WDW themepark and other boards on WDW side.

I'm not one to change when I find something I like (check out my trips in my signature). My mom was the one that was interested in trying something new.

BWPPI was great last year. We had problems with our room - flood from upstairs room and the manager was awsome. She watched as staff moved all of our belongings from our room (they took the drawers right out and swapped them) to the room next door. They even tried to put cosmetics, etc exactly where they were in our original room. She tried to call on my cell, but I didn't have it turned on to let us know about the flood. They even left us a gift basket.

I talked to my mom tonight and she said we should stick with BWPPI since we know what it's like.
